It's going to be a girl! The hockey gods must not want our skewed hockey knowledge passed down to our sons right chuck and Lonnie?

Did you never listen to the words?? Written by Neil Young right after the Kent State shootings.

Tin soldiers and Nixon coming,
We're finally on our own.
This summer I hear the drumming,
Four dead in Ohio.

Gotta get down to it
Soldiers are cutting us down
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her
And found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?

Gotta get down to it
Soldiers are cutting us down
Should have been done long ago.
What if you knew her
And found her dead on the ground
How can you run when you know?

Tin soldiers and Nixon coming,
We're finally on our own.

Not even lying, until I looking it up a few days ago I thought the words were "oh daddy oh hi ho"

I'm sure anyone who ever heard me sing along got a good chuckle.

Misheard lyrics can be funny. I knew someone who thought for the longest time that the refrain for Dire Straits' "Walk of Life" went "you do the walk... you do the walk on by... yeah you do the walk on by".

I believe the iPad mini has similar specs to a iPad 2 (other than reduced physical size).

I sent Kate a msg on FB, but it comes down to how much money she wants to spend and what she will likely use it for, since newer versions give you better screen resolution and processing speed, but if you don't really need it, I'd get the most GB you can afford and would get at least an iPad2 (for the camera capability [FaceTime/Skype]). I also always get WiFi versions, since I don't want to have a cell plan for it, especially when it means you are locked in to current cell technology. For remote access, we have a MiFi, and if I want better thruput, I can upgrade to a 4G version, and the iPad doesn't know any better, as it strictly talks "WiFi" (so is oblivious to the cell network speed behind it).

Anyway, good luck w/ your purchase, Kate (and congrats on your purchase Ali), you'll enjoy whatever you get.
Thanks for the advice -- I was going between the 2 and the new one. He doesn't game, it would just be for surfing the web, music, and maybe watching movies/tv shows. I would rather go with an older model with more memory, methinks.

Thanks again!!

Congrats! So happy for you right now. I used to always say I wanted a boy, to do the whole baseball/rough housing thing...but I couldn't imagine things being any different now. Every father I've come across with only girls says the same thing too.

Plus, there's no reason we can't pass out skewed hockey knowledge down to our daughters

I look forward to all of the pics on facebook. Best of luck the rest of the way, hope your bride has an easy pregnancy!

The weirdest thing I remember from Montreal is the mechanical, controlled, liquor dispensers that the bartenders have to use. Is that the law or something?

No reason to give them a good tip, its not like they are going to make you a stiff drink.

They have the same dispensers in many parts of Europe too. Europeans also have a weird affinity for Budweiser too. I don't get it.

And hearty congrats on your news!
