#Canucks RT @BrownRecord: Kitchener Rangers defenceman Evan McEneny (VAN) not hurt, sent to dressing room for third as a msg from coach.
Not sure why yet. Waiting for a response from Brown or Giuriato.

Another evil coach trying to sabotage our prospects!

^ Maybe because the kid is an ice-hog? I swear in yesterday's game he was on the ice for half of the third. (And even when he was fatigued, he still played better than Fanelli)

That was my first instinct when I read those tweets. I swear his average shift is 1:30 at least, even if he has the opportunity to change and looked dog tired. Yesterday, I thought it was the coaches prerogative but maybe it wasn't?

But this seems like a harsh message indeed. Wonder if he was warned before.

It`s weird, but we have a lot of prospects playing on low-scoring teams this year, it seems. AHL, OHL, NCAA...

Who knows why he was really taken off. Maybe it's the re-occurring lower body injury. Either way, despite the long shifts, I liked what I saw in him yesterday. There is probably more there offensively too, but the coach seems to be not letting the defense pinch, besides Murphy.

The tweets already said it wasn't any injury. So you can rule that thought out completely. And looks like our concerns were misguided. Read below.

Kitchener Rangers ‏@KitchenerHockey
Word on McEneny: No injury; he was sent to the dressing room as a "message from the coach."

Evan McEneny was not injured tonight. Steve Spott told us postgame he was sending a "harsh" message. #OHLRangers
And here is the final explanation from a Rangers blogger: http://therecord.blogs.com/rangers_r...-plymouth.html

Quote:
Kitchener defenceman Evan McEneny was sent to the dressing room in the third period. He is not hurt, coach Steve Spott just sending a message after a poor play on Plymouth's third goal.
Never heard of getting sent to the room for a bad play... benching sure. Must have been a really bad play..

Hutton has 4 points (2-2) in his last 5 games. Was the scoring leader for Maine for 1 period! But Devin Shore picks up an assist, reclaiming the throne.

Just killin my posts. I'm not sure what happened to my reading comprehension with the McEneny tweet. Hopefully the play wasn't too bad. Anyway, the phantom Beattie point came from the Maine Vermont game on the 30th. A Kyle Beattie scored a secondary assist. (Oops! But he looks like quite the player; two points in seven games!)

Jensen really reminds me a lot of Carter when I see him play. I'm pretty sure he'll be a 30 goal winger in the NHL.

Definitely who i see as well. I think the most uncanny similarity is their ability to score with ease in front of the net on the PP in a variety of ways (finding empty ice, off opportunistic bounces/rebounds, or just a quick hard wrister).

I can just envision Kassian battling for the puck behind the net and dishing it to Jensen in front for a goal.

I agree, im not usually onboard with some of the comparisons of our younger players to current nhl players, people usually reach a little in their comparison but from what ive seen, carter is a pretty accurate comparison to jensen

I like how our top prospects can potential play on a line together as oppossed to Hodgson and Schroeder battling for the same position

not that competition for spots is a bad thing

Cody Ceci, Stuart Percy, Slater Koekkoek, Ryan Pulock, Duncan Siemens.

Not a bad bunch to be chosen over. Must have really impressed in the SSS

His biggest threats are Dumba and Pouliot.

Murphy shouldn't even be on the team but he has a spot guaranteed because of the coaching staff.

Yeah that's too bad. Murphy annoyed me in the televised game friday night. Looked like the kid who's always been better than everyone else at lower levels, but never evolved his game to play against better opposition.

Injuries happen, though. Look how Evander Kane had to make it on the team: emergency recall. Other teams are going to go all out on Canada this year because of all the hype.

Attaboy, Corrado! Great to see his strong play rewarded. Hope he can make a serious run at the team.

I'm immensely looking forward to the WJCs...they're always exciting, but with the lack of NHL hockey this year, it's going to be a treat.

Hope Corrado makes a splash as not many people on the main boards are giving him a chance.
