I liked how Wotherspoon played but he got caught out of position a few times after puck watching.

He showed better than Sproul, Pelech, and Pouliot so he's still in the mix but I think Dumba, Corrado, Reinhart and Murphy have a better shot at this point in camp.

The most hated team in the league for a reason. We should relish it.

I would be very surprised if Drouin was over his head at camp. Hell, he has carried the big line himself at times this year and made Mackinnon look ordinary.

He hasn't played particularly well the last few weeks in general. When he is off his game it really highlights his lack of size. He'll figure it out. Unfortunately, maybe not in time to make the team the way people say he is playing.

Seeing a lot more lineups in the WJC forum with Corrado inserted at #6 or 7. Intriguing... /beardstroke

I think one more solid game coupled with a few more of his peers slipping down the mountain might just be enough to get him there.

As I said, the very fact that he's fitting in nicely with the best junior players in Canada means nothing but good things for this organization. About time we got a steal.

He did look in over his head last night, unfortunately. The game was a lot faster than the typical junior game and he seemed to have trouble with how fast everyone was closing him down. It's especially disappointing because last night was probably his best chance to show his stuff due to the overall lack of physicality. They're playing a CIS team today and that game will be a lot more physical.

Hope Corrado can continue playing solid defense today and maybe even contribute on the scoresheet some more. It would be hard for them to ignore him if he scored or assisted again, after getting the GWGs in both SSS and last night.

Also, Ray Ferraro discusses last night's game and mentions Corrado on the TSN homepage video "WJC: Standing Out" — picked him and Reinhart out of the guys on the bubble.

Ferraro pumped Frankie's tires this morning on TSN.ca

Mentioned Reinhart and Corrado specifically, boy that'd be a good third pairing (I worry about Reinhart's foot speed on big ice though).

Lets all agree not to mention Corrado on the main boards.

Honestly, it's such ********. Sproul gets mentioned at least as much as Corrado by Red Wings fans and nobody complains. Before the game last night it was all about Sproul this and Sproul that.

When DiDomenico, who was brought up in that thread, was a part of the WJC team, you couldn't go into a WJC thread without seeing his name.

Oh I agree.

People didn't even know who Frankie was prior to yesterday.

We should just keep our excitement in here me thinks.

I agree.

(To add, Corrado doesn't even have his own Prospects thread unlike Sproul and some of the other guys. I think even Pelech has a thread on the prospects board.)

I bet if he makes the team and scores the gold medal winning goal, the main boards would probably reject the win and ask for a silver medal.

Wouldn't surprise me. Still, the worst are the Canucks fans that never come here and then post negative stuff about Corrado to try and blend in with the crowd over there. Have some pride in the team you cheer for FFS!

The funniest posts in there are the ones who call Ferraro a Canucks homer...I've listened to enough team1040 in my life to know that is a false claim.

A Flames fan will do anything to discredit a Canuck though.

New toys are fun, unless they're Canuck property. Then it will probably bite you.

Is effin' sad that the Canada World Junior's thread has become almost as unbearable as the Luongo threads on the main board.

Sad.

I blame Bettman.
