So serious question.

When is the last time Ray played like this in Edmonton?

The last 4 games has been nothing like the Ray we were seeing here. All his passes on target, dropping right in, avoiding tackles for fun, picking up blitz instantly. Who is this guy?

This is Ray playing well, granted, but it certainly isn't the Ray we were seeing here. Can't remember when he put 4 dominating games like this together in a row with Edmonton.

That said I bet Ray has trouble generating anything in the 2nd half.

Are you saying Gretzky and Ray are in the same ballpark and so this would be a fair comparison?

Nope Ray still playing great.

He played really well often in Edmonton but your blinding hatred blocked it out.

Ray has come to play today

not surprising considering he wants to show Tillman and the rest of the haters he's far from washed-up

looks awesome out there

Esks tweeting eachother right now:

Shamawd Chambers ‏@ShamawdChambers
@Simoni_Lawrence you should see Ricky Ray right now

Jerome Messam ‏@JMessam
@ShamawdChambers bro I got to watch that **** live every week last year. #heartbreaking #dontknowwhatyougottillitsgone

Messam sure disagrees with your assessment of Ray's play last season.

Oh look, a franchise Quarterback putting up great numbers, because he's a good quarterback.

I'm glad we are probably set back 5-10 years.

Esks ass kicked out of the playoffs with a horrible season and a 39 near old craptacular starter vs Ray taking the Argos to the cup. The ARgos who has been last in offense in the CFL for something like 5 straight years before this.

Where was this Ray last year? Same guy, same qb except with a head coach/oc that knows his ass from a hole in the ground and a decent supporting cast.

What do you mean? He's going to join the Argos in the off-season. What a shrewd trade.

And...the conspiracy theorists win!

Not bad for an aging, over-expensive QB with "poor mobility".

Ray with a great game, but again, to all the Ray pundits out there please let us know the last time Ray played this well in the playoffs and the last time he strung together 4 super games like this?

Thats part of the frustration and what stings is we just didn't see this intensity, spirit, drive, and level of performance from Ray.

Of course he gets nothing done here for the last 6yrs and the first year he's gone hes playing like the best QB in the league and beating Calvillo at home.

Improbability drive working OT.

Ray with high fives, fist pumps, endzone dances? Seriously? Who is this guy thats suddenly enthused and pumped?

Congrats though.

lol at my frustration I guess. You guys can enjoy this on me. For sure this is some major crow. This is stuffing my face with crow. I'm all about the crow.

He seemed worn out over his final few years in Edmonton. The move to Toronto seems to have rejuvenated him and reignited that early fire. It's frustrating as an Eskimos fan, but sometimes that happens with athletes...

Or maybe it's that our coaching and management has been mostly **** the past few years. And everyone put much of it on Ricky.

Sure it has. Getting traded woke up Ray. The biggest reality check a person could ever have is when your employer decides they don't need your services any more.

This is a situation in a new environment where Ray had to put up.

Lets take a look at the OC's Ray had to work with in Edmonton. First Maccocia (who actually wasn't a bad OC) then Crandell who is absolute junk.

I think that Ray overcame one of the worst OC's ever to coach the Offence in Edmonton and still had effective seasons.
Ray has looked great and I think it has a lot to do with the offensive system the Argos are running.

Ray works with what you give him...he didn't get much in terms of Offensive game calling during his time in Edmonton (especially in the last 3-4 years) but he is getting a lot now.

Good for Ray...he deserves better than the garbage he had to endure with the Esks the past few seasons.

I wish him all the success...quality Pro athlete.

Also this, but there's no denying that he's displaying a drive and passion that we haven't seen since spurts in 2005.
