Teams just laid down against the Argos. Poor offensive and defensive performances have greatly contributed. This is a 9-9 team winning it all and all the opponents self imploding.
Jason Maas is the real MVP of the 2005 Grey Cup. Without Maas, the Eskimos are out in the West Semi.
Ray got lucky - his first decent game in 3 months happened to be the Grey Cup. The last 8 games of the regular season and 2 playoff games he was terrible. Ray went 8 consecutive games without a TD pass. How the heck do you do that???

No Maas, no cup.
No mas?
I agree without Mass they probably don't make it to the Grey Cup. I was always a huge Mass fan, more so than Ray probably. But to not give Ray credit for his MVP in the GC is stupid.

The guy was lucky his first decent game in 3 months happened to be the Grey Cup. I can't excuse that - he sucked for the last third of the season and got lucky the last game of the season so most people forget the reality.
Without Maas, the Eskimos have no chance. Maas deserved to start the Grey Cup in 2005.

Cool, so Maas' claim-to-fame is HELPING the Esks GET to the Grey Cup in 2005...not much else (other than being extremely overrated)

no he didn't....Maas has never won a playoff game in which he started
Ray proved it was the right decision with a GC MVP

Uhhh nope. Maas is the MVP of the western final. Ray is the MVP of THE GREY CUP.
I don't think a lot of you understand that the western final and grey cup are two separate games.
