Totally agree. Whenever the 1st line is off, the rest of the team is pretty bad.

Maybe if Sarnia loses 10 straight games Beaulieu will finally realize putting all his eggs in 1 basket (preventing a Galchenyuk-Sarault 1-2 punch down the middle) is not the right strategy.

Maybe.

3 more weeks of this and then Gally can go to the WJC and hopefully join a contender once he returns.

If they play such an organised system (kitchenaid)against a 1 man team (sardina) its not surprising.. it can put a team to sleep offensively.. Galchy will adjust. No drama...

If they lose 10 straight games, they trade Gally to a contender, without a doubt.

The play by play guys on TV keep getting Galchenyuk and Boucher confused. Really? Is the size difference not enough to tell. They look completely different on the ice.

I'm not a coach, but to me there seems to be far more benefits from playing Galchenyuk at centre.

He's more consistent defensively at centre. It also takes the pressure off of Goldobin to be the main producer on the second line and actually creates two lines that will at least be solid defensively. It spreads out the offense and creates two dangerous lines too.

Kitchener is matching Faksa up with Galchenyuk, if Gally gets moved to second line he's being matched up against Bailey. That's a huge difference in terms of defensive coverage.

I was exaggerating, but yeah, no doubt.

Still my point is this: they will have lost 5 straight after tonight, a 3rd straight lopsided loss it appears (last night was basically a blowout, don't care what the final score was) and Beaulieu is doing NOTHING to change the momentum with line changes. Put Galchenyuk at center with Goldobin on his wing. Throw Kitchener a curveball, do something!

Completely agree with this.

Plus like what Marc said, Beaulieu needs to change his lines and be different.

0-4 on the PP.

Man, the Sting PP is really bad.

And Kitchener is now on the PP.

7 shifts, 5:20 time on ice.

Yikes. He played 19:44 last night and now he's currently at 9:30 with one period left to play and down 3-0. He should see around 5-7 minutes of ice time in the 3rd, if Sarnia wants to get back in this game. Boucher and DeAngelo are killing any momentum though and Sarault can't hit the net with any shots tonight.

OHHH... My bad.

Well, after tonight, all they need is 5 more losses.

Goldobin might be a good solution, if Beaulieu switches Galchenyuk to the centre position. If the plan is to keep Gally on wing though, and have Sarault centre with Gally and Goldobin, nothing will come of it. Sarault is having an awful night. Worst I've seen of him in the last 10 games.

Getting him back at center is my primary hope out of this.

Totally agree, time to end the Boucher-Sarault-Gally line and put him back to center. He's had a good run as winger and so did the Sting but they are falling back to earth so put Gally back to his natural position.

I'm hoping this happens soon, or else they're going to keep losing.

Justin Bailey is having one hell of a game. He has tons of potential.

It's looked like a Kitchener powerplay for the last 3 minutes.

EDIT: Make that 5 minutes...

EDIT 2: Make that 15 minutes...

Or they can, you know, trade him to a contender.

But seriously, this all the eggs in one basket approach isn't working anymore.
