Seriously, how embarrassing was that? All on the coaching imo. No wonder Nathan Beaulieu seems indifferent to playing hard defensively. If his dad preaches shortcut offense like this, I wonder what kind of teaching he's given him over the years?! I could be completely out -to-lunch on this one but honestly, I'd expect a coaches son to be much more well-rounded that Natty B. I also understand that this could say more about Nathan than it does his dad, but still.

I was at the game and, contrary to some posters here, I actually liked what I saw from Goldobin. Good puck management and great anticipation.

As for Galchenyuk, it's true he didn't do much. He was pretty upset when I spoke to him after the game.
Thank mag, explains a lot, could you summarize a bit of what Gally said??

Nathan Beaulieu is very far from the NHL, he's one of the greenest 1st rounders we've drafted in the past 10 years. Playing for the sea dogs didn't help either, he's just starting to experience adversity at a high level of hockey.

I do believe he'll make the NHL, but he wont be as good as a lot of people think he'll be.

I personally hate the Nathan Beaulieu pick... but at the same time it has no point to this specific topic so i'll keep my opinion quiet...

He will probably be a 30 point, 2nd pairing D-man. But who would you have rather picked in that spot/

No line changes. Galchenyuk still on LW.

And scores right off the bat! Gally!

Gally still playing wing.

And you just know they'll put up a few points against this bad Petes team and Beaulieu will continue to think it's some awesome idea.

There ya go, goal on the backhand!

He's also getting a lot of ice time this period. I'll have totals at the end of the 1st.
