Both that backhand goal, and the assist on the second goal are exactly what I want to see from this kid. Being able to capitalize on mistakes in dominating fashion, and making something from nothing really.

Like his ridiculous wrister from two games ago, I don't even see the puck on that backhand; he goes to shoot then I see the puck bouncing off the back of the net. Nothing in between.
If he's not objectively the best prospect in the game, he's definitely my favourite. Just electrifying. If there's a season, I think he has a really good chance of cracking the lineup and being a significant contributor.
Wow! He's just toying with them out there. His backhand was awesome but i'm blown away by some of his passes. He has insane vision. Such a complete player!
You gotta like how Galchenyuk came out firing and showing the way after a bad team outing. Shows a lot of character and has me more excited than the sick backhand and sweet passing.
That's what finishing close to last do to you....imagine if it would happen just 1 more year. With the management we have, with the guys we already have on the team, the prospects coming and the future draft picks....We'd be one hell of a team. Next 2013 draft is 2003 + lookalike. Understand it means you will get a superior player at 20....but imagine how great it could be top 5....

In the first 44 seconds, we see why this kid is such a stud and future star (Yes, I really believe so). Scores a wicked backhand goal that few NHL players are able to executive, a beautiful pass, and causes havoc in front of the net for another goal.

That's what I realised last year when the team started to crumble in middle of the season. Galchenyuk is the most exciting thing to happen in Habs land since the 2007 season when we realised the gem we had in Carey Price. If we can get a other top 5 pick this year, we could start to build a team like Chicago did after they draft Toews and Kane. Mackinnon, Jones, Barkov, Monahan, Lindholm, Shinkaruk, Drouin are all players that would help make the Canadiens a Cup contender.
