Err... a 35 goal scorer and a top winger prospect for a dman with half a year played in the AHL and only 18 games in the NHL?
Stone for Despres straight up is a starting point.
I wouldn't even do that. I'm not a fan of Despres, but we also need another sniping winger for Spezza or Turris, and Stone may end up being that. As for the poster suggesting Stone + Michalek...
Maybe something like Puempel for Niskanen+3rd would work, although I don't think I'd want to pull the trigger on that. That's just the only realistic deal I can think of based on the OP.
Because of how crappy our blueline was in the playoffs last year, we need the guys who are close to NHL-ready right now (Dumoulin, Despres, Morrow) and Harrington, who's our ideal shutdown defenseman.
I'd be open to something around Silfverberg and Maatta.
A goal scoring winger that could score big with Crosby or Malkin as his center for a shutdown defenseman that could develop into a solid NHL contributer.

I would say I'm more sold on Stone than any other Sens prospect besides Lehner and maybe Zibanejad... but I'm definitely more sold on Stone's high end potential than Zibanejads.
I was expressing how wrong his proposal was, from the perspective of an actual fan of the team involved.

Except you weren't you were grossly exaggerating and adding nothing. I did contribute to the thread by explaining how I, and many Sens fans, value Stone. There's a reason Sens fans have a terrible reputation around here and a lot of it is because of the immature defensiveness that seems to immediately come up in every single thread... just because a lot of our guys are underrated doesn't mean we need to be rude about it.

This post is weak, but it made me laugh. Why would Sens fans give a squat about what kinda rep they have on here...Even if we all were the smartest best hockey contributers ever, we'd still get no respect, and that's how I like it!!
