Even worse, you need UPlay...

So is Steam the only place (you can buy it) that will have the game run on Steam and not on UPlay?

Steam is the only place u can buy it if you want that game in your Steam library.

on the Farcry3 Steam page it says ...
Quote:
Requires a UPlay account
...

...so at the very least, you'll likely need a 1 time activation via Uplay on there.

So GMG went down and is in maintenance. Also, I think how UPlay is now, I don't think I will mind it. I just want it to be through Steam as the launching program.

I'm getting this error on GMG when I try to finish the order, "Order not complete
We have been unable to complete your order, please contact your payment provider before trying again."

I know my credit card works just fine and hell, I just used it 3 times today for other small things (snacks, lunch, and the Max Payne 3 Rockstar Pass). Any suggestions?

Why should I contact them if the card works just fine? Maybe I'll find something to buy just to show it still works fine.

I was getting that too. It's something to make you go away for a while because too many people are trying to check out at the same time. When it went down for maintenence and came back I must've clicked at the right time because it was quiet. Checked out no problem after getting that message twice about some banks thinking they're a gambling site (which isn't illegal here anyway).

I have no experience with Macs, did you try googling the error? A lot of times fixes are right on the Steam forums.

A friend of mine got that when he pre-ordered Deus Ex: Human Revolution. His credit card company was holding payment because GMG is based out of the UK and thought it might have been a fraudulent charge. You may want to contact your credit card company just to make sure.

Just called my bank and there are no pending requests for GMG. So that means the site is going a little nuts, I guess.

If I paid $30 for Borderlands 2, will it be worth EVERY penny?

I'm waiting for the GOTY all DLC complete game edition myself. The BL1 DLC was really good and I pretty much never touch DLC unless I can play it right after the main game.

It's probably going to be a long while though before we see a GOTY edition.

Highly recommend War of the Roses and The Walking Dead. I bought Walking Dead on PS3 kinda wish I had it on the PC instead would have been easier with mouse and keyboard.

Even though other sites have had Borderlands and Dishonored for $30 each, do you think Steam will follow suit during the Thanksgiving sales?

Pretty sure both only activate on steam. BL2 definitely. So just buy it anywhere.

Since I've been trying so hard to get Dishonored for $22.50 or whatever it is on GMG, I might just go buy the retail copy at Best Buy for $25 and pick it up tomorrow.

Scratch that. Got it from Gamefly and it gives you the Steam key as well.

$23.99 with the NOV20OFF coupon code.

Also, I know you want the GOTY edition, but if you can get the Season Pass cheap, it should be fine. I know it's $23 on GMG instead of $30.

Deadlight is a flash deal. Do not buy it unless you want to waste 4 hours of your life to see the worst ending to a video game since ME3...

The Trine collection for $8.74 is definitely worth it though. Both games and the DLC for the second.

I still recommend FEAR 3 if you guys haven't played it. Easily with $5 I think.

That doesn't work because I want to play them all at the same time. Price isn't really the issue.

I'd have to play 1 & 2 first

1 didn't look that great to me in 2005, but 2012 me might give it a look given the quality of the average FPS in the last 7 years.

Honestly, FEAR 1 was EASILY the best of of the 3. It was ****ing awesome, and especially the MP. When it came out, they actually released a free (no ad support) stand alone MP client. Man, I would exploit the piss out of melees .
