Well COD isn't all that far off from CS. Honestly give me America's Army 2 in its prime over any other FPS game that's come out since. That game had the perfect balance between arcade and realism. Nothing comes close. It's a shame that AA3 was such a flop.

I Don't disagree. Huge AA fan. AA3 wasn't a bad game, but it had some issues that could have been corrected. Unfortunately it never had the player counts to be worth it. Also it launched with too few maps, that might have been the biggest issue.

I like shooting things.

Period.

But I don't enjoy paying a lot of money for the NHL series of shooters.

Especially when that NHL series of shooters has a $15 expansion pack every couple months.

Not a good price . I picked up Darkness II and Spec Ops: The Line for $6 each from Gamefly (steam activated) at the beginning of October...just beat Spec Ops. Have to play Darkness II whenever I have more time.

Get Games Go also with a big THQ sale including Darksiders 2 amongst others all 75% off. Looks like THQ is hurting for money big time. I hope it works out for them, I like most of their games.

New groupees bundle.

Has anybody played Velvet Assassin? That's the only game that interested me in the bunch. I'm curious if it's any good.

I have it, but have only played for a short time. That is not to say it is bad or good, I just have had many games take priority. It looks decent from the short time I have played it though.

But despite the fact that it came out in 2003... it's so comical and fun.

Decapitating people with shovels....pouring gas on people and then tossing matches on them to set them ablaze, peeing on random civilians, need I say more?

I remember playing it when it came out. I thought it was hilariously awesome. I still do.

I included the Postal franchise in a law presentation about the restriction of violent video games a few years ago. Many laughs were had when I listed a few of the things you could do in that game.

We need to not play the "lets look at our hours played!" game. It's scary...

Ahem....

Team Fortress Classic
30.9 hrs last two weeks / 1,047.7 hrs on record

I am curious about Jet Set Radio. I never played the original but remembered it was really popular at the time.

Heh, most of my playtime is in games that don't track. I'm sure my Civ4 and UT2004/3 time is downright scary.

Has anyone heard any rumors of a steam sale next week? Last year they had a sale on the 23-27. That would put it from the 21st to the 25th this year.

No rumours, but they have had a "black friday" (US Thanksgiving) sale for the last few years. The first one was huge but now it is not as large as the x-mas sale but still quite good deals.

Same, Civ IV would be just as crazy but I had it on disk before on Steam, but...

Football Manager 2011 - 2584.1 hours
Football Manager 2012 - 1257.7 hours

So I'm still playing the original Red Faction.

Everything is going fine, its tough but fair. About 2/3rd of the way in BAM, they just go insane on the difficulty curve. Even on medium I can't kill enemy soldiers with 2 shotgun shells to the head, when it would only take 1 previously. When you open doors there are 2-3 guys there and they can shoot you before the door is all the way open so you can't even see them. You have to pop out of the water sometimes and your guns don't work for a second or two while they can blast you with shotguns freely.

One of the worst difficulty spikes I can think of. Not really worth continuing when you have to play a room 10 times only to move on to the next room and do it again, 10 times.

I'm glad they decided to add Planetside 2 to Steam, it will track the time i play

If you count WoW over the years, SWTOR, League of Legends or other games i was really hardcore into Diablo 3 etc

Basically all the games i was ever hardcore into weren't on Steam making TF2 the game i most ''played'' with (read afking for items)
