No.

1. At Biggs age Lucic was in the NHL.
2. Lucic is an outlier. The progress he made from age 17 to 20 is actually incredible, to go from 20 points in his draft year to a 20 goal scorer in the NHL at age 20 is something that you dont see often at all

At 18, Biggs was playing in the NCAA against men and put up a 20 goal pace over an 82 game season. Those stats totally misrepersent their seasons. I'm not saying Biggs is as good as Lucic; I'm hoping for him to be a 15/20 goal guy with leadership, physicality and intensity. He could become a top-six forward, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Lucic and Biggs are not exactly on the same path of development, Lucic didn't play College hockey as Tyler did at 18. So it is fair to note, Regardless of age Tyler is outpacing him in his first year of exposure to CMJHL where Lucic only scored 9 goals one year removed from BCHL. Not exactly a good example for my tastes. What is done is done, but I think Tyler would have been farther along had he went to Oshawa off the hop instead of waiting this year. Look at Jenner and Lessio this year, they get progressively better each year they play in the O.

Hard to compare Lucic/Biggs. PF tend to have weird development.

It's clear Biggs has improved his scoring and is getting better at his role.

Will he be a lucic? I dont know, that's a high price, but at the very least he's heading for a solid 3rd line 20-20 40pt hard hitting player. At best he seems like a solid 2nd line winger.

Very very good prospect for this team. One of the ones i'm most excited about, his next year or two will be huge.

I think Tyler is a similar prospect to Austin Watson, but more of a fighter

Lucic and Biggs are not the same players. Lucic is a trained boxer. While some kids played multiple sports like hockey in the winter and soccer in the summer, Lucic was boxing and playing hockey. Right up until he was drafted. Lucic will set the bar for years to come. Hate to say it.

How is Biggs defensively?

Last season I was amazed at Watson's defensive skill. Fearless shot blocker.

When I saw the comparison to Watson I was thinking the same thing. Watson is incredibly good defensively. He has a bad shift if he doesn't get a point, draw a penalty or block 3 shots. It's usually the shot blocking. He dives in front of anything and everything
except the refs cause he is a classy player

It's not exactly Lucic's fighting skills that make him such a great player to have on your team. It's the fact that he's such a good hockey player while being a big, physical player and being able to fight. He's lost his share of tilts though.

Keeps me updated as well.

I.e. Sparks has consistently improved his numbers since the start of the season.

Yeah, I try and read everything in here and it seems like although he still is a little inconsistent, his inconsistency happens less now

How is Ashton doing?

Its really depressing looking at his stats. Has he been playing better than his numbers show?

Colborne on the other hand seems to be snake bitten, and is probably a little injured still. I hope he can find another gear this season, like he was playing at the begining of last season.

Been playing much better of the late and is slowly bringing out his offense. He has it in him IMO to get where we want him, as he is covering the net very well which Leo was doing.

very fast player, not overly nifty. Jason Blake esq . Even though he is doing well, i cant see him succeeding in the NHL.

Finn was teeing off on Campagna that was a wicked fight. Both landed some good shots though.
