Toninato has scored his 6th goal (19th point). Fargo is up 4-3 in the second intermission, and I wouldn't be surprised if he had more points. In the 7 goals, there have only been 3 of a possible 14 assists listed, and I find it hard to believe that many goals are unassisted. Maybe things will fully update at the end of the game.

Edit: They have been listed. None for Toninato. Bust.

Glad to see him continuing his good pace, he's a long term project so I hope he thrives when he is in the NCAA next year with Tony.

i suggest visiting the erie board, i asked whats up with his success.

biggest reason: his motor, hockey sense enables him to get to the areas he needs to be, and he has a quick and hard shot. good goalscorer. similar to ty rattie situation, including chemistry with mcdavid (akin to bartschi)

Ty Rattie's on pace for another 100+ pt season even without Baertschi. It'll be interesting to see how much of Connor's season is on McDavid.

Well, on pace now. Struggled to start, but also not fair projecting that kind of season given portland is on a 11 game win streak haha.

But true, still a great prospect.

Messier misses an open net, robbing Rielly of an assist. Rielly then goes end to end and gets off a solid shot.

See what hes working with here.

point being, junior success doesn't guarantee nhl success. i think we all get that.

Rielly is not dressed as an Alternate captain, what a dumb coach... he's the reason you win games.

I know its early, very early, but people like to crap on Morrison. Pre-Burke, he drafted some decent NHLers in Kulemin, Stalberg and Gunnarsson. Even Tlusty is serviceable. But I also like the way he has selected the past two years. Guys like Leivo, Brown, Cameranasi and Toninato, who yes, have proved nothing yet, but all look very promising. Morrison spoke of the untapped offensive potential in those four and it seems he's on to something.

Leivo has had an amazing third period in the Subway series.

He's got a chance to make team Canada IMO.

Leivo with another good game for team OHL. Very good on the forcheck and cycle using his size to his advantage, good defensive awareness and a back hander on breakaway that Vasilevsky just got enough of to have it trickle wide.

I doubt he makes the WJ team, especially with the lockout but I think he's been impressive enough in these 2 games to earn a camp invite.

Any guesses at what Canadas WJC defense corps will look like in December? I'd imagine Rielly, Murphy, Hamilton, Murray, and Harrington are locks. But what about Dumba, Reinhart, Pouliot, Ceci, Finn etc? Any chances for youngsters Pulock and Jones?
