As someone who still hopes to be working in scouting one day. I can say I have full on respect for guys like that. When I scouted, I only was based in Victoria. So it wasn't difficult for me to watch WHL, BCHL games. Only a half and hour bus ride into town, it's about the passion for what you do. You have to love what you do and be dedicated to it.

Not that I'm anyone of any repute, but this, to me, is an important piece of wisdom in regards to scouting players:

You can never know enough, and you'll never know it all. Always be learning, and open to ideas.
