Looks like Ryan Nelsen is coming back, either as a player, coach or player-coach.

Ryan Nelsen could be poised for a return to MLS, but as a coach
TFC.

Diego Valeri to Portland on a season long loan with an option to buy.

Great pickup.

Like Lindpere for Chicago, but it makes our old midfield older.

Trading Lindpere was probably to create room for Luyindula.

Even before this move, the team needed 3 more midfielders at least. Now I'd say they need 4 possibly...

But they have Dax! (I'm not a fan)

I guess if you mess with the formation you might not need as many...ie Henry in the hole. Also maybe they convert Josue to the outside. Or even move Lade up....

Plus they have Juniho and Cahill. Though half of them will probably miss atleast 10 games cause they are ancient.

The Fire are seriously deep everywhere with above average talent and only one star.

How the hell can you not be a fan of Dax?

Anyways the wide mids on the team or guys who can play out on the wing are Lade, Sam, Espindola, and ? In the middle they have Junihno, Cahill, Dax, ?

Valeri has caps for Argentina. That's a great addition for Portland.

Not entirely sure what New York is up to. Maybe clearing the way for Kaka?

Robbie Keane forgoes any European loan, signs 2 year extension with LA.

More importantly, he also revealed that he'll be a Galaxy player for several seasons to come, signing a two-year contract extension.

Looks like Riquelme isn't returning to Boca Juniors. MLS teams should be lining up, he'd be a massive signing.

C.J. Sapong to.... Arsenal?

http://www.mlssoccer.com/blog/post/2...arsenal-target

Quote:
There's a report that claims that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is mulling over a move for Sporting Kansas City forward C.J. Sapong. The Football Magazine goes as far as saying that a fee of nearly $5 million has been agreed upon with SKC with only personal terms left to be worked out.

When contacted by MLSsoccer.com, Sporting Kansas City had no comment on the report.
The 'source' is a knockoff football site and what would possess someone to make up a C.J. Sapong rumor? But honestly, it really wouldn't shock me, at least tactically. SKC plays nearly an identical style that Arsenal does and C.J. played both centrally and out wide. (and he's better than Gervinho)

He's obviously not even close to being Arsenal quality, but maybe Arsene wants to tap into the American market, especially since Spurs have Dempsey/Friedel? And why would SKC randomly decide to not loan out Dom Dwyer after it was all but confirmed that he was going to St. Mirren?

Still a funny rumor though.

Woulden't shock me at all. This rumor comes out of nowhere, no way someone would be crazy enough to invent it. Same goes with Espinoza and Wigan. At first, it sounded really awkward and unusual when MLS made a blog post on their website about it, but look at Espinoza, might even start in the FA Cup for Wigan tomorrow

I'd love to see Riquelme in the MLS but I don't think it'll ever happen.
