Russia has played alot of games against top prospects, interesting how they are still battling it out with the WHL.
I would also like to see them play vs the USHL prospects while they are here

Goalies doing a nice job in this one. Both guys stepping up when they've had to.

Surprised how physical the Russians have been and they're showing a lot of heart tonight.
Also this Rielly hype (he has been great so far) is getting quite ridiculous from the PBP guy. Sounds like the next coming of Bobby Orr.
All in all I'm lovin' this game so far.

I think Rielly has been good, but I'd agree. The flash in his game seems to be distracting the PBP guy from the actual results.

Well he is wearing the right number for it
.
Also yeah, the Russians really are bringing the physicality themselves. This could be one heck of a third period.

I'm personally liking what Rielly is doing offensively. Defensively he hasn't been bad, not physical but doesn't have to be. Rielly has started a lot of plays in the offensive zone. He may have been gassed there at the end of the second but he still made a very good play that lead to a scoring chance.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Travis Ewanyk (EDM) had a good, physical first period but has left the game with an injury (foot or ankle) and not expected to return.

Why would it explode? Not to mention he already made a mistake that lead to a 2-on-1.

As you said, he's doing a lot of smart flashy plays, but aren't leading to anything.

Is Rielly the only player playing in this game?

Flashy plays that haven't lead to anything is the only thing anyone has to talk about. It's 0-0.

I dunno. I think Murray has quietly been the best defenseman.

I liked that spinorama move Nichushkin tried, trying to be a 6'3 Denis Savard

I think Murray-Siemens pair has been the best.

Ditto. I didn't mean to slight Siemens there, because as a whole the pairing has stood out to me.

I really like Dumba's play today, he is been very good. jumping into attacks, very quick at getting back into position. Reminds me a LOT of Subban.

I was just being a smartass there since the complaint about "talking about plays that haven't led to actual results" seems like a bizarre one in a 0-0 game.
But I don't understand the butthurt here. They've complimented him a few times through two periods. He makes things happen offensively out there and in a scoreless game, that's noteable.

I dunno. He seems to be all the PBP guy is talking about at times. Everything he's doing seems to be gold, but I'm not hearing as much about the other players. I can understand why that would irk some people.
I definitely agree Rielly is standing out. I just think the PBP guy is sounding a bit more like a Toronto fan.

I think Rielly and Murray have looked better than Yakupov in this game.
Edit: Especially offensively, as Rielly seems to stand out more in the offensive zone. Kind of strange for a defenseman vs. the #1 overall forward.
Edit again: Actually, to be honest, I've been more impressed by the WHL defensemen in general.
