Still a crappy way to end the game, but the WHL team definitely dominated that shootout.

Well too bad it had to come via shootout. But hey, win is always good!

Obiviously Canada would've won it when it came to shootout.

There we go, Sam Reinhart with the finisher. Feel bad for Makarov, not the way I would have wanted the game to end but you know what theres another goalie at the other end who usually has to do the same thing as you.

it be nice if it went to o.t. It was a real good game for both teams.

Morgan Reily is a beast in the making. I think he's going to come out of the 2012 draft as the best defencemen.

Yeah, the ref said something like that and both the player and Marakov were like "what the hell?"

Weird seeing a puck go in the net...

Brossoit never bit for a single move in the shootout, just a wall.

Rielly has so many takeaways this year. He's really exceptional at stripping the puck from players his age

What if that early squeaker went in on Broissoit and we lost 1-0 , weird how something like than can change views completely, just saying.

I really hope someone asks Yakupov about his move in the shootout. I was really surprised that he never sped up and just kept making those wide turns. Trying to make Brossoit lower his guard I guess?

He also played that breakaway very well, imo.

I'm really not impressed with Yakupov thus far. He takes shifts off, gives the puck away repeatedly with pointless dangles near his own zone, I'm also not seeing the skill. The effort is incredibly lacking.

Shinkaruk was the best forward tonight, Reily the best D.

Hahaha what? He has been playing with new line mates for the last two games with zero chemistry. Also its hard to do something when you have Sissons, Siemens, and Murray all on you.

Great goaltending for both teams. Shinkaruk looks good enough to make the WJC roster this year. Reilly was a stand out. As steady as Murray is, Reilly could be the steal of the draft if he plays at this level all the time. He had more creativity in the offensive zone than most forwards. Mironov and Naumekov are solid nasty players. That hip check was awesome.
