That is what makes Russian hockey fun to watch, not this shoot everytime I get the puck or go around everybody by myself style. Yak has also been awful on the pp, that 5-3 was so bad, everyone including my grama new the shot was coming from Yakupov.
Yakupov has been forced to be the puck distributor in this series. Looking at his last shift even he made a nice pass but it was fumbled like a hot potato at the blue line and came back to Yakupov who made a play to the defenseman who could dump it in. If you watch him play he wont dangle anyone but he wont give up the puck, hell make a nice pass to his teammates and the play dies

Lol. It's as if people try to be negative.
Would you please relax. I'm a huge rielly fan. The thing is I felt as though he could have played better. He was sloppier than usual, and didn't control the pace as much as he usually does.

Dumba has some raw ability. He just happens to make a lot of goof ball decisions.

This is ESPECIALLY true when Yakupov is supposed to be the the leader of the team.

Yakupov can get away with this in Nizhnekamsk because he plays protected minutes and isn't the focal point of opponents, but as a leader and captain of Russia junior NT, not so much.

He actively moved out of the way.

He did it last night too with about 3 minutes left in the game but ended up poke checking the guy.

Yakupov's luck sucks. Linemates have taken penalties as soon as he's hit the ice twice now, and now that muffin from the goal line goes in.

It looked to me like he was on his man. It was the extra man in who scored.
