The leg probably isn't right.

Also gotta give credit to the Russians, They've been good.

Weird.

And lol at the coach going right back to the Dumba - Pouliot pair.

I cannot imagine Dumba or Pouliot making Team Canada this year after tonight's showing.

Rielly's 3rd game in 4 days. Perhaps he's tired? Hasn't been himself

You can only have so many offensive defensemen and Spott will take almost definitely take his man Murphy. Rielly probably also gets a spot so I highly doubt one is left for one of those two this year. Probably have to beat Morgan out at camp to have a shot which is highly unlikely.

Lol idk, but it looks like we are gonna find out!

The WHL coach is coaching it like a house league team. No matter how bad someone is playing they still get equal ice. Oh and no real PK or PP plan lol.

Dumba seems to be the worst Dman tonight... followed by Pouliot.

I wonder how much games like this can effect a coach's career.

look at the heat Dumba is taking, but the coach is even more at fault IMO.

More about seeing the players/seeing how they react to adversity than winning (altho obv want to win). That pairing has been awful though. But rather lose here than in WJCs

I've always liked Khohklachev. I always thought if he would have been a couple inches taller he could be a dominant player.

Not much of an effort from the WHL boys tonight but credit to Russia for wanting it more and taking it.
If i wasn't so hockey starved i'd probably shut it off.

And that period is an example of why I think Pouliot was drafted to high for my liking.

When the entire team is playing awful, it's really hard to make implications for team Canada. Can't really judge when they are simply getting dominated.

I thought he was fine in the first. The second... Eh. Seemed like he was bobbling the puck. Might be the ice, might be that injury. Just doesn't look the same.

This specific WHL squad truly lacks gamebreaking offensive talent. It has a good mix of point producers but they should more so be relied upon as complimentary pieces. They are missing that dynamic presence that a Shinkaruk can bring.

Wotherspoon and Reinhart have been the best WHL defenders by a mile tonight, while the other four have been extremely underwhelming and disappointing for the most part.

Credit goes to the Russians at this point as the have been without a doubt the better team.
