GDT: Black Friday Madness/ Holiday Shopping season 2012

We are 2 weeks away from the start of the holiday shopping season and there is one day like no other that brings out the joy of Christmas inside each and everyone of us.

On November 23rd 2012, the world will witness once again how far society has truly progressed from the days of the caveman as we watch people go from beating each other with clubs to beating each other with metal softball bats as shoppers wait for as little as hours to a few days outside in long lines and for many in the freezing cold for a chance to buy what they think is a real smoking deal over products that are the lowest quality one can imangine.

Watch as we witness the Season of Giving take on a whole new meaning as shoppers take on other shoppers to get their hands on the great deals they only intend to give to themselves and in the process don't give a **** if the others around them are stomped to death.

Let the ****ing madness begin!!!!!

Aww hell naww. I'll shop online if anything, go out and get lunch somewhere nice, then at night get drunk with my friends.

People getting trampled at Wal-Mart and men punching women out for the last iPod dock at Best Buy? Witnessing the buffoonery and crazy **** that goes on during Black Friday these days is probably no different than what would you would see happen if it was learned that World War III had just begun.

I don't know if this is true or not but the rumor going around is that there is going to be a nationwide walkout by Non-Managemt Walmart Employess in protest to the treatment, wages, etc they get working at these stores.

**** is going to get really real if that happends.

Would never happen.

For one, they'd just get fired and they'd have no wages.

For two, it's better than no job

I think the real tragedy is people actually shop at Best Buy.

If some dude was trying to rip me away from an item I was holding, I would probably punch him in the face several times. That video is just stupid. Are people really that hard up for an on sale TV???

There are few things that I'm not open to trying at least one time in my life. Black Friday is one of them. Never gone out during it, never will. Would rather overpay for something than deal with these idiots. It's like people these days make it worse than it needs to be, just to make stories.

It's pretty pathetic that a lineup for water and rice in a typhoon-ravaged third-world country is more orderly than a sale on electronics.

I went one time to get the television I have right now. It was originally 1400 bucks and was on sale for 799. It was really mad in there, but I was the only one waiting in line for that tv. I guess nobody else wanted it?? I didn't complain, was in and out in about 15 mins.

The best time to go shopping on black friday is around 11am or so. The non-doorbuster sales are usually still going until around noon anyway. Plus after noon, there are still usually pretty good sales going on for the rest of the day if not the weekend. By that time, most of the crowds are gone and it's like a normal weekend.

I have and never will go out on Black Friday.

Being surrounded by a bunch of nut-jobs losing their **** over cheap TV's is not my idea of fun.

Cyber Monday is where its at.

I can understand if they walked out. Didn't an employee at either there or Best Buy get trampled and killed in the last couple years? Guy unlocked the doors and people just stampeded.

I'm not punching someone over the TV, I'm punching someone because that person is getting physical with me over the item.

If someone got physical with me over something more important, I would probably walk away. In a Black Friday fight over goods though my rage would be multiplied as it is just so senseless.

I'm at the point where I don't have much faith in humanity anymore and the only good I see with someone getting killed by their own stupidity on Black Friday is that the average IQ would rise slightly with each person killed.

I work in retail, have to work 12am to 12pm black friday. The customers are so ignorant and rude. Ahh, I really need to get out the retail industry.

Having customers that are rude and ignorant exist in any kind of business. Sadly, I have come across non-customers in the business world who are just as bad as the customer in the b2c kind of business. Wait till you see had ****ed up the customers are in the b2b business where the store management and corporation is the customer, the hypocracy amongst them is disgusting with the crap they complain about their customers.
