I thought Juneau wore #90 his second year in Boston.

Nope. Only 49. Then he was traded to the Caps for Iafrate.

Not willing to give Gronkowski #87 over Coates yet. Rob still needs to buy a ticket to enter the Patriots Hall of Fame.

I loved coats. But Gronk rewrote the record books at the TE position last season. And so far this year, he has shown he's not a one year wonder.

Coats had 50 TD's through 9 seasons with the Pats. Gronk has 35 through 2.5 years. And is on pace to have 40 through 3 years Even at this early point in his career, I think it's more than safe to give Gronk the 87 nod.

What, no Kris Vernarsky for #76?

You also forgot about Paul Coffey's MAGICAL 25 or so games in #74 back in 2000, a definite high point for all of us as Bruins fans.

That 1994 season by Coates was amazing. I remember him being one of if not the biggest TE in football and during that season he just plowed thru everybody. I don't think he was as effective breaking tackles after that season, but he was just an unstoppable menace with the ball in 1994.

Wayne Gretzky is obviously the best #99 for Boston, since the NHL has decreed his number is retired here.

Juneau wore # 90 for 4 different teams ( Washington, Buffalo, Phoenix and Montreal ) but only # 49 for Boston.

OT, but I'm still in search of an authentic Juneau B's jersey. Have always wanted one. I can only find cheap screen printed ones on ebay or caps ones. Really want a white one, but I'd take a black. If anyone comes across one, please PM me.
