Marisnick has a ton of potential, but he's still in AA and has a ways to go before he's proven in the MLB...LoMo was considered a top 10 prospect in the league for the Marlins and hasn't really panned out yet, for comparison.

The fact we've now got guys like Smoral, Norris, De Jong, DJ Davis and even Anthony Alford in the lower minors is exactly the kind of prospect depth AA was talking about when he took control of the team, having waves of prospects who can either contribute or be part of deals for major pieces.
AA did the right thing. There's a window open right now where the balance of powers in the east is in shambles. Particularly Boston, but maybe New York too. You need to strike now before the big spenders recover

Good prospects, but there are still a ton of good, even great ones just waiting for their chance to be on this stacked team.

Didnt he get injured last year?

I know Reyes had an injury a couple years ago, plus the turf cant be good for his knees.

Buerhle...is Buerhle. I have no problem with him besides the contract.

And Lawrie, EE, Bautista, Izturis and Rasmus could very well steal 10+ bases for the season too.

Only slowpokes on the team are JP and Lind.

He played 160 games last season.

IMO 130+ is good enough out of him.

Games are played on the field. I'm plenty excited but I could still see us still not making the playoffs next year, which is kind of sad but...yeah.

For the snarky comment about the Jays winning the world series in November? I have no problem with other fanbases in here but as you said, as long as they are polite. Jays winning the world series in November isn't polite, imo.

Looking forward to the "Buck You" chants in the Skydome again. lol.

Seriously, he had a great year with us. Doubt he'll be able to match that year statistically but a nice improvement over Mathis.

They want an SS.

No way I'd deal Reyes for him. That would completely destroy what we desperately need, and that's eliteness up the middle.

It wasn't intended to be snarky or impolite. More of less just emphaising how much I like the deal.

I think what you meant was a legitimate leadoff hitter.

Chill dude. I was just saying that everyone thinks we cant lose this trade (or at least it seems that way) but we can easily lose the trade. And we could lose bad.

Exactly.... lets just sign Swisher, try and get an upgrade at 1B, 2B if possible

He didn't mean it as if we were all bragging and saying we were going to win the World Series already, I think he meant that he liked the trades, and is complementing our team saying they are going to do good next year.

At least I hope so.

AA shouldn't have any questions asked of him for a very long time after this deal...
Cabrera and Davis would be a really good platoon in LF. If Cabrera shows he can preform without PED's than let him run with it. If he sucks than Davis is a good guy to have batting 9th to get on base for the top of the order.

AA will do some tweaking between now and opening night... but if we did nothing from now until the trade deadline we have a good chance at making the playoffs.

Today is simply amazing. Our 3 biggest weakness are now are three biggest strengths. Our rotation looks pretty damn solid... maybe not as good as some of the freak rotations in the NL, But top 5 in the AL pretty comfortably. What separates us this year will be our offence.

Lmao oh lawd. Are you being serious? I am here as often as most regular posters, I just have nothing to add to the discussion, so I stay quiet lol.

And the comment is when you (and others) were called hipsters for sounding higher and mightier than other posters that didn't post as often around here. It had something to do with the association of the Jays and the Leafs, I don't remember exactly. I believe it was the poster, Drop the Mits, who called you out. But hey, I'm not here posting all the time with my blue jay avatar, I must be some noob who doesn't understand **** about baseball. oh you lol
