Some ironic and sarcastic thoughts

Has anyone else thought that it is quite ironic how owners and players are dealing with this lock out. Both sides are prepared to lose this season and maybe more. I wonder if this kind of mentality would be allowed during normal NHL season? That would be like admitting before the season that we don't have a chance of succeeding this year... Can you imagine a guy like Mark Messier giving a speech before the season that we are likely not going to succeed this season...

Oh well, isn't this the type of mentality that wirtzs and jacobs of this world are used to with their franchises...
