With CSS and ISS both with Jones at number 1 at mid-season, he's the favorite to go first in the draft (with all the pressure that comes with it).

Surprised to see Pulock and Morrissey drop by so much? Morrissey has played some of his best hockey mid December - early January.

Nice to see Hägg back up there. He reminds me of a young Mattias Ohlund.

Can someone fill me in on Jason Dickinson? I know stats don't tell the whole story, but it's all I have to go on... (Not followed him this year.) Well under a PPG in the OHL? Projections? Comparable's? Positives/Negatives?

Surprised at no Mantha on the ISS list. Lazar still seems too high, I wouldn't put him over Shinkaruk, Erne or Gauthier at this point. Pulock at 17 seems pretty low too.

3 French-Canadians in the top 10. Hockey Quebec must be rubbing their hands.

I was shocked not to see Mantha either? I wonder what the story is? Work ethic? His scoring is unbelievable.

Work ethic and level of competitiveness is what I've heard. He's big, he's scoring capable, but sometimes he'll float, pop a goal and look good for about a minute, then vanish for the rest of the night. Some peg him as not a true power forward in terms of grinding in front of the net and doing dirty work, but one which waits on the outsides, muscles in quickly and scores.

All the tools are there (especially speed for such a big player), but questionable mental game and lack of commitment defensively can scare some scouts.

Again though, this is just what I've heard. I don't get to see him play from where I am.

Also too consider that Getzlaf was given the same opinion when he was drafted. Whether or not Mantha does a similar turnaround is questionable, but it's just something to consider.

He's also one of the oldest players in the draft...2 days away from being eligible last year, and he didn't put up numbers last year. I think that's another red flag being raised.

But I still like him more than at least, say, Anthony Duclair (#30).

Somewhat off topic but I was wondering if anyone had any info on Tyler Hill?
I checked Eliteprospect.com and it doesn't show any stats from this year. (injured?)
I checked the Chicago Steel USHL team website and when I click Tyler Hill's name under the roster section, it says "sorry page not found"?

I remember seeing this guy in the top 30 on one list early in the season, but haven't heard anything since.

My boy Pulock is not getting enough love....we will see the Fowler effect....Even though Pulock is not considered top 3 like Fowler was he still would be a great pick if he falls outside the top 10 imo

I see stats for him. Not much, but some.

2 games, 2 points (1G, 1A), 17 PIM, +2 with the Steel
Unlisted stats at Hotchkiss High School (USHS)

Not sure if that's at all accurate, but I can certainly see some stats for him.

i'd take Ryan Pulock in the top 10 no problem, and i'd take him over Zadorov and Nurse no problem.

That myth has been dispelled already, he started slow, but his 2nd half production + playoffs is almost identical to his scoring pace this season.

You're probably not going to get the stats of prep kids until the following season because to get current ones, you have to pay for them.
It doesn't make a whole bunch of sense, but that's how it is.

With that being said, he's apparently left Hotchkiss and it looks like he'll play with Chicago for the rest of the season.

That is correct Tyler will be joining the Chicago Steel of the USHL for the rest of the season. Big Kid, soft hands. It will be interesting how he progresses the rest of the year.

Tyler Hill, as listed on www.hockeyDB.com....6'6", 225 Chicago Steel, USHL....2 GP 1G 1A 17 PM....not his prep stats, but he wouldn't be a bad high 2nd round choice.
