Looking good for the Leafs not so much for the Islanders, Coyotes, Ducks, Blues ...

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

Its a train wreck right now and a complete ego stroke on everyone's part.

Its amazing to see how such positive discussions and forward movement last night could come to the point of such unsteady ground.

Apparently there are still issues that need to be sorted out, and major ones.

But the foundation that has been laid up to this point is detailed and could lead to the CBA being put together very quickly once the couple main issues are resolved.

Blow it up, and let the cards and more importantly the players fall where they may land.

Those teams with the most money, at the front of the line.

Exactly some posts here suggest some are not paying attention or are delusional.

The NHL has taken some things off the table because the NHLPA rejected the NHL's offer. That is not good!

The PA may have just shot themselves in the foot again.

Clearly the NHL is getting fed up with the PA and if they don't smarten up the season will be lost if it already hasn't been after their latrest rejection of the NHL's offer we will see what Bettman says shortly...

This is what I believe. There is no such thing as 'last offer'. Once they get past the () insult of the 'final offer' being adjusted, then they will get back to being constructive. It's BS that they allow these small details to derail things.

Well my friend, realism douses optimism almost every time, that's why one should never count their chickens until they're hatched.

NHL REJECTS NHLPA'S OFFER, NO FUTURE TALKS PLANNED

After a day of CBA talks, the NHLPA tabled a counter offer to the NHL which the league rejected. Addressing the media for the second time tonight, NHLPA executive director Don Fehr said the NHL left a voicemail saying the NHLPA's offer was not acceptable. In response to the NHL's rejection, Fehr said, "This looks like it's not going to be resolved in the immediate future." . Full Story.

Such a joke. Everyone continues to try to sway public opinion and makes fans out to be stupid. I'll obviously continue watching but I would LOVE it if the league and players lost a ton of fans and money.

Leafs, Canadians, Rangers would all be quite happy.

Im sure Burke would have Jamie Benns, and Ryan O'Riellys agent on speed dial.

I think you mean the next time our Leafs start up Tavares could be centering Stamkos and Corey Perry.

That would be a line to see.

Guys. I'm sitting here laughing to myself at this situation. Is anyone else as amused as I am?

No matter who is running the Association Bettman ends up with lost seasons.

If you keep changing one side and it always ends up the same way with one constant ...

Bettman is making sense, but my god is watching him frustrating. He has one of the MOST punch-able faces, gets worse when he speaks and his damn twitching is going to drive me to some sort of rage. I have to listen, but not watch the screen or I might lose it.

Is anyone really surprised? When you look at the position of both sides at the start of the lockout to where they are now and the owners have moved way further then the players have if at all. Fehr is simply stalling thinking that the pressure of losing a season will force Bettman to give in and sign the deal the players want.

It really says it al when the only people in a room are the owners and the players, and the players want someone else in the room.

why? the owners are who youre negotiating with. is it that they can't look the owners in the face when they reject hundreds of millions. or is it they're too stupid to understand the legal speak they claim to be experts of. i never thought i'd be on a side in this nonsense, but i'm on board with the owners. the players are just a bunch of greedy b***hes. end. of. story.

If the players offered 65%/35% in their first proposal and moved to their current position, would you argue the same?

Because on one end, you have billionaire owners who do complicated business deals for a living. On the other, you have professional athletes.

Would the owners be willing to play a game of shinny against the players?
