Except they really, really are not similar. They have similar stats, but are very different in how they accumulate those stats, and what they contribute beyond the stats.
Glencross is a gritty, physical winger who's speed and hands allow him to be useful in the top 6.
Little, on the other hand, is a center. The only thing that stands out a little in his skill set is his shot. But overall he's a solid 2nd line center and was forced into a 1st line role last year.
To the OP, even adding Jokinen the Jets are really thin down the middle. That's the main reason this doesn't work. Glencross has a fair bit of value to the right team, but the right team is one that has an established core and is looking to make a run at the SC. To a team that's still trying to build their core, he's a luxury they cannot afford.
