I think Albi needs a hug.

At least you can see some NHL players in Italy. The best we have in LA is the Ice Dogs

Thanx KJ.

But more than a hug I'd like to have Bob & Gary's heads on a silver plate.
That would be awesome.

Oh my God...have you read the last NHL statement?

Collective bargaining update
NEW YORK (February 4, 2005) - National Hockey League Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Bill Daly today released this statement following a collective bargaining meeting with representatives of the NHL Players' Association:

"We had extensive and constructive (constructive!!!!!!) talks over the past two days. While there are no future meetings scheduled, we have agreed to keep the lines of communication open(is it just me, or it's not the first time we hear this kind of BS???). "Despite several media reports to the contrary, we have no intention of making any further announcement relating to collective bargaining or the status of the season at this time."

I'm wondering what they are waiting for. Maybe, in early June, after the 234th meeting will be ended in the same, usual fashion, the NHL will let us know it's too late to save the season.

Just one last thought: I'm so sorry for Bob, I've read he was really pissed off when he left the meeting in New York. A source said that he forgot to ask his wife to record his favourite soap while he was away. I guess he needs a hug too.

Yeah, around his neck.

First him, then the other moron.

At least they'll put it to a vote. That would be nice.
There's a chance that all the players NOT planning on making $6M in the near future might vote for it. I think this season is hosed even if they do, but it'd be a step in the right direction.

Goodenow will lose his job at some point if the lockout continues...

Players should get to have a vote on the last NHL proposal.

More players are saying they'd be willing to play under a salary cap system...Roenick, Jackman...

I get the feeling that some of the players (those making the $$) don't want it to go to a vote because they know it could be voted through , if they do indeed cancel the season I hope they come back next season and play with 'scabs'. It may not be pretty hockey, but at least we'd get hockey.

Probably but, it was good to hear some big money players would consider a Salary Cap System. (Roenick, Modano)

No just visiting your board. I feel like I'm talking to myself at the Duck's Board so I'm posting at some other boards to see if anyone will listen to me.

It's a little known fact that TiesRLikeWins4Us is a Jedi. We can use the Jedi mind trick if necessary to bring you back to the good side. There is good in you he's felt it.
