99% sure it isn't Chiasson tho, he put it off the goalies pad while he was being dumped to the ground. Then Smith put it in the goal from the side of the net. No idea how they called Eakin on that assist either.. I donno it's so long ago now tho I forget ;P

Razor would've had a field day with Nilstorp picking that one up as a silly sider.

Love how Eakin knew exactly what he wanted to do with that puck. Almost had Chiasson in the slot.

Now THAT's what I've been waiting all year to see from Chiasson. That's how he used to play in college.

Anyone but Peterson with the opportunity a couple times tonight and it's 5 -1

Vince has looked good on the PP tonight despite being banished to the Petersen line.

Oleksiak has looks so much better than last game.

Can't really complain about anyone's performance, good flow... and what do you know when everyone is moving their feet we actually end up with the edge in PPs.

Nilstorp was really pushing his luck with playing the puck near the trapezoid.

Petersen

That was crazy for a while, it was basically 6 on 2 when Benn lost his stick.

Peterson clearly is allergic to the puck. If he doesn't stumble when it's near him, he whiffs on it

well he made up for it by taking that shot in the stomach.

Nice to see the Texas Stars having some success. Wasn't looking too good for a while there.

I thought Oleksiak was guilty of blindly ringing it around the boards and coughing it up a fair bit against the Aeros, but he really cleaned that up tonight. He didn't rush things down low, took a look and either chose the right option(s) or skated it out of danger.

He has the size to stand in and at least protect the puck and wait for support and the mobility to get it out of danger. He just stood in and made better decisions. I didn't see anything I'd change about his game tonight. And if his breakaway stretch pass in the 2nd was on the tape of anyone but Petersen, he might have had an assist.

I missed that at the end, because I was sneaking to the other tab to comment on yet another horendous non-clear slap pass by Toby blindly onto the tape of the Heat defenseman, which he thankfully made up for with the bellyblock.
