Good move for the Rocket, he'll be back next year and the year after if they want him.

He's a good puck moving D, solid defensively.

Why did he struggle this year? was he just not Groulxs style and where do you see him this year with the Rocket? our D should look like this now
Oligny-Micallef
Pavelka-Graves
Cortese-Lalibertie

He's more of a PP guy, and not the greatest defensively. I think he became expendable in Gatineau with the acquisition of Desmarais.

Solid... And not the greatest...

I.E if he's on your 3rd pairing you can find more reliable guys...

He's gunna get beat, if I was a contending team he's not someone you play on your 3rd pair. I would look for a guy who is a defensive specialist.

Cortese isn't that. I'm not saying he sucks, he's average...

I'd play him on the PP and use him as a 7th D.

Great move for Rimouski IMO. They have a good team and set-up for the next year and a half...
I was hoping that the Boutet trade would mean more minutes for Maxime Gravel.

I thought it meant Alexandre Mallet back in Rimouski. 0 point in 13 games in AHL and an assist in 6 games in ECHL...

totally had a brain fart and forgot about Chenier-Allard with that I think it makes Lalibertie or Trickett availiable out of those 2 i prefer Lalibertie maybe we see Trickett packaged with Lagace for a top 6 fw?

Man we're already entering a down period. I guess its to be expected. Gangne was the biggest piece that has no world junior ties so we'll probably have to wait until after the tournament to see the big dominos fall.

I wasn't expecting a flurry of action, but yesterday was quiet. And yeah, others GMs are probably waiting to see where guys like Huberdeau and Danault go - which as you suggested, probably won't happen until after the World Juniors.

After Gagne, Durepos is the best overage D available and would be a big asset on a contender
