This is like my 8th post in this thread, but I can't get over it

It's like if 11 year old me took control of the Braves in Triple Play '98 just to trade away all their best players and watch them lose 110 games

only someone is actually doing it

Marlins could legitimately average less than 5k fans at games. Loria is destroying that market.

Great trade for Toronto. And great demolition project (again) by Jeffrey Loria.

Ridiculous deal for the Jays. They would've been an 80 win team if Bautista hadn't missed a big chunk of time, and adding 2 top pitchers, and a great leadoff guy, without really losing anything, is incredible.

Should at least hit 90 wins.

Jeff Loria is the worst human being on the planet and I think every Marlins and Expos fan should get to kick him in the nuts.

Moreso, what's the sales pitch: "Miami Marlins, where the entire stadium is general admission!"

I think they'll still average 10K+

They could trade every single player and play all rookies and they would still average more than 1K.

In before the post that says they think Loria could handle 25 kicks to the nuts.

Way out of line with your list.

Let's try looking at this objectively.

Pinning your hopes on Josh Johnson is risky at best.
He's had only one season where he managed 200 innings.
Since that year, his whip is up, H/9 is up, HR/9 is up, BB's are up, and K's/9 are down.
Not exactly progressing.

Although Buehrle gives the Jays innings, his turf stats aren't good.
He's a contact pitcher. His H/9 and whip will increase.
Additionally, he'll be facing a bit more stress this year in the East.
I don't see better numbers from him.

That leaves Morrow, who's never thrown 200 innings, and Romero...what can you say.

Picking up Reyes is certainly an upgrade. But those who's have followed him throughout his career know he's had hamstring issues, which will only get worse on turf.

Meanwhile, Baltimore's staff and bullpen will improve.
The Rays always have a superior staff.
And the Yanks will buy, buy, buy, to fill their numerous pitching holes.

The Jays 2nd?
I wouldn't bet on it.

Could this be any more anti-Jay?

Even if I attempted to make a more anti-Jay post I don't know if I could do better than this.

The deal, unofficially: Johnson, Buehrle, Reyes, Bonifacio, Buck for Escobar, Hechavarria, Alvarez, Nicolino, Marisnick, Mathis, DeSclafan
