Moulson. One of the better goal scorers in the league.

Tanguay us better but Montreal would prefer the big body.
Tangs is one of the best play-making wingers in the league. Only MSL is clearly ahead of him IMO.

Gonna go with Tanguay, I always thought he was bad-ass.

Tanguay narrowly. Moulson is still very underrated.

For the Rangers, I would prefer the goal scoring Moulson over the play maker Tanguay.
That said, I can easily see the benefit of playing Tanguay on the 3rd line with Boyle and Kreider (who would be shifted to RW)
Hagelin - Richards - Gaborik
Nash - Stepan - Callahan
Tanguay - Boyle - Kreider
Scrub - Scrub - Scrub
seems pretty good to me.

Tanguay for the Canucks. Playmaking winger is exactly what we need to stoke some chemistry on our 2nd line.

Getting a playmaker like Tanguay and then giving him Brian Boyle and a rookie to pass to kinda kills the purpose of getting him does it not?

But I thought Moulson is an AHLer without Tavares.

I'll take the guy who should be a lock for 25goals+ over the guy that could give you anywhere from 40 to 70pts. Moulson

Agreed. But it's intersting how the comments turn around when it's people trying to defend Tavares. "But but he made Moulson, an AHLer into a constant 30g scorer!!!"

This was actually the first thing I thought when I saw Moulson was winning this poll. How could an AHLer possibly be winning a poll over an established NHL player?

Tanguay due to his play-making skills and the fact he can line up at center if need be.

Not at all.
Boyle can score as evidenced by his nice littel 21 goal season. Having a playmaking LW for him would benefit him, not hinder Tanguay. As for Kreider, he absolutely NEEDS someone else to carry and dish the puck.
I like Kreider, but he's going to be that kind of player that is carried by the playmaking skills of others. with his size he will create room and with his shot he's going to bury his chances, but he needs a creative player to play with.
That line would have a great balance of size, speed, skill, defensive awareness and more than enough grit.

I really was not expecting Tanguay to be losing this, especially by this much. I think he's getting really underrated here.

Moulson is talented at what he does, which is goal scoring, and there is no doubt about that. The guy has a nose for the net, but Islander fans say that about him because he plays with a guy who probably has top 5 vision in the entire league. Tavares really sets him up with some beauty plays that not many other guys in the NHL would be able to do. Moulson would be a 15-25 goal scorer without Tavares most likely, he is pretty average in every other area of his game.
With that being said, I take Moulson because he has proven to be a clutch goal scorer.
