I think I remember cleveland/Baltimore being decent as well, unless that was a Monday.
The ThNF games on NFLN.
Week 1: None (NBC had the season-opening special.)
Week 2: Packers stomp Bears. Thumbs down.
Week 3: Panthers forgot to play the Giants. Another thumbs down.
Week 4: Ravens beat the Browns by a TD. Good game for ThNF.
Week 5: Rams over Cardinals. It scarred my soul.
Week 6: Titans over Steelers. For an expected Pittsburgh blowout win, this was an awesome game for the neutral fan.
Week 7: Niners beat Seahawks. Not the best Niners game I watched this year, that's for sure, but at least we won.
Week 8: Bucs over Vikings. Meh.
Week 9: Chargers over Chiefs. Double-meh.
Week 10: Colts over Jaguars. Triple-meh.
Week 11: It better get darn exciting in these final 10+ minutes.
Week 12: None (NBC has it on Thanksgiving night.)
Week 13: Saints at Falcons looks to be darn good on paper after the Saints just beat the Falcons last week.
Week 14: Broncos at Raiders. Not promising.
Week 15: Bengals at Eagles. ThNF going out with a whimper, I see.
Week 16: None.
Week 17: None.
So two good games out of the slate so far, and I expect three total. Three out of 13 weeks. Not good. But again, keep in mind every team in the NFL is guaranteed a game to be played on national TV on a Thursday (including the Detroit and Dallas games on Thanksgiving), so of course, ThNF is setting itself up for fail. Yet we watch because it's football...
