You obviously haven't watched the Dolphins games. Dolphins should have beat the Cardinals, they just didn't close the game out, but without a missed field goal, we don't go to OT against he Cardinals and we win that game. We should have beat the Jets. The Texans was the only reasonable loss we have had so far, along with the Titans last week.
I expect a field goal kicker to make their kicks, that's why they get paid. If we had a kicker that made more than 75% of his field goals, this would be a moot point.
I HAVE watched Dolphins games. Look at where I live. CBS shows Dolphins games a lot here in Tampa Bay, especially with the Bucs blacked out a lot. I just think blaming the FG kicker isn't the reason, and the fact the Titans just took it to you last week is reason alone that it's not all on Carpenter.

I'm not saying the Dolphins aren't a bad team, but if Carpenter makes those kicks, we aren't talking about trying to get back to .500 now, we are talking about how they are leading the AFC East.
It's semantics guys. The Dolphins have 3 losses by 3 points. Who cares if it's all on Carpenter or not. You can play what if all day long but right now they ARE 4-5.
Poor play call on that 3rd down. Needed one and had 2 WR on the other side with only one corner pressing (the outside) and the other about 6 yards deep (the inside).

But you can't expect a FG kicker to be perfect, either. There has been very few perfect kicker regular seasons. I can only think of one off the top of my head in my lifetime, and that is Gary Anderson of the Vikings in the late 1990s. (And even then, he missed a FG in the NFCCG vs. Atlanta that ended up costing them a Super Bowl berth.)
Carpenter has done his job, really. The Jets game? Yeah, that sucks. But it happens. To blame Carpenter for the fact Miami isn't leading the AFC East? There are other issues. I can point to the fact that in OT against Arizona, Tannehill threw a midfield pick that helped set up the GWFG. Is that Carpenter's fault that after he missed a FG in the third quarter his team allowed Arizona to tie it on a TD to make it 21-21 and then Tannehill threw the pick in OT?
If Carpenter doesn't blow the Jets game, you're over .500, I give you that, but again, it's more than Carpenter that is holding Miami back.
