That's one of the problems right there. He's being too cautious and thinking too much about it. The Vikings do this all the time with Peterson and Harvin. It gets to the point where both of them have to yell at the coaches to get on the field in the redzone and good things usually happen when they're out there. You put Spiller in there inside the 10 and if he scores, you don't have to use him that much in the 4th quarter because the game will pretty much be over. That's when you can throw Choice or White out there.

Ya, but like that last play, sometimes CJ runs 30 yards on a -1.

On a related note, Chan won't overplay CJ, but he will let Wanny wreck Mario.

I disagree. The team went into the season stacked at DE. A fresh Mario is always better than a tired/broken Mario.

Ouch Dareus.

Watching this offense is actually depressing.

Scratch that.

Watching the entire Dolphins team is depressing and I don't even care who wins

Tannehill has been awful tonight. So has the play calling.

Has there been even one good Thursday game this year?

Not going for it? FG makes it 9 point game...still 2 possessions. The way the Dolphins offense has been going, you gotta try to get a TD when you get the chance.

Not to mention the Ralph is a notoriously bad stadium for kickers with the swirling winds.

And he misses it.

To go back to earlier in this thread, yes, Carpenter just missed, but in no way does that fall on his shoulders 100 percent, because the offense is just terrible tonight. Down 19-7 and settling for long FGs? A game after Tennessee waxed you? Yeaaahh... they've got issues in Dolphin land.
