Good game all around, after the first 15 minutes or so.

I love the way Farnham plays, dude's a lunatic.

I have to echo Jacob's sentiments from earlier in the thread and wonder how he didn't catch on with the other teams he's played with.

Nice to see Beau Dangles & Simon Depressed each got a Goal tonight. I hope this is the sign of more to come from Simon.

Holy crap MacIntyre... take a few extra shots why don't you.

I was hoping for the hay-bailer connection / Stu Grimson turn-their-face-white knockout.

MacIntyre should have beat him with his own helmet.

I can't tell who I'd compare Farnham to in the current NHL

He's fast as hell, forecheck's above average, finishes every check and drops the gloves a lot due to his pest like game. Won't be able to produce offensively much of anything at the highest level

Maybe a quicker Konopka

-

To add, Phil Samuelsson is absolutely nasty. Every game he's played this season he has been SHUT DOWN. No one takes the puck from him, no one has hit him separating him from the puck, no bad turnovers. Makes the breakout pass 95% of the time out of the D-zone. And no one stands in on near his crease. Kid is gonna be an awesome NHL defenseman

I thought Samuelsson was a wasted pick by Shero.

Last year, he looked really bad and out of place. Then I realized he was basically a full year younger than all of our 'rookies' at the time. If he can improve that much in just one season, I can't wait to see how he develops further

About time MacIntyre did something. I would love to see him destroy people more often. I can't believe he only has 1 fight so far this year. When he does drop them he is nasty thou!

I only saw about half of the game, but I agree, Samuelsson was noticeably good.

Man, I love both nicknames... BeauBeau The Bear & Beau Dangles. I can't decide between the two, LOL.

Perhaps we should have one of the reporters as Beaulicious himself.

Bennett now has a 5 game point streak (3 G, 3 A). I still don't think he will get a call-up this year, no point in rushing him. Maybe like 5 games against weaker opponents.

He won't get a call up because there's not going to be a season.

Even if there was to be a season, I doubt he'd get a call up anyway, but still... **** the league for doing this to us again and knowing full well we'll be back as soon as that first puck drops.

For those who have been watching all of the Baby Pens games, aside from stats, how has Beau looked? I know skating, board work and strength on puck have been things people have said he needs to work on, how has he been doing?

Thanks

I havent watched all games. But in the 5 or so games ive seen hes good on the PP when he gets time and space. I would like to see him create some more on even strenght as well. Sometimes he tries to make too fancy passes (like 2 games ago on the PP wich led to a penalty shot against).

I think Beau Bennett will look amazing with skilled players. He has to work on strength and skating, but he has some offensive savvy, which goes a long way in the NHL. He can score as well as set up, and he has a great shot.

Given Beau's size and ability and the fact he did good in the handful games he played in the NCAA as a sophomore, and the fact he had lost nearly a year's worth of development, he has sure come along nicely on an offensive defunct WBS team. I like how he is progressing. Doesn't look like a bust to me at this point.
