It's hard to say what the college guys will do. Not many people thought Bennett would leave Denver after barely playing his sophomore year. I doubt that either Agostino or Rust would pass on their senior years but if I had to guess one guy who leave early, it'd be Archibald.

Everyone thought he'd leave after his sophomore year. That was his stated intention, and what the Denver coach thought he'd do.

It's more of a case where that may have been his original intention, but after missing most of the season, there were legitimate reasons for him to go back and play a full season and then sign. Not many guys leave college 2 years early after a season where they played less than a dozen games no matter what they originally intended. If he had two healthy seasons, yeah, sure it would of been completely understandable for him to sign, but like I said, after missing most of his sophomore year, those plans could have easily changed and no one would of been stunned in the least if he stuck around Denver for another year.

and as a higher touted guy I think it would be easier for him to leave, he knows that the organisation (and the NHL in general) will give him more chances to make it.

Zlobin and Hanowski should help WBS's cause next season.

They can if they apply themselves.

I don't think that Rust leaves, nor do I think Wilson leaves given his down year; although for Wilson it depends on what they think of the program he's in and coaching he'll be getting, and how good/bad their team is looking for next season, because he's not in a traditionally strong school for hockey. He is, however, an older player and is still leading his team in scoring, so he may be physically & psychologically mature and ready.

I do, however, think Agostino is ready to make the jump, if he wants to. He's a skilled player and if the Pens could decide, I think they would like to see him move up the ranks and get to WBS, where he would receive superior developmental coaching and get accustomed to the pro game. I hope he makes the jump. And ditto for Archibald who, like Wilson, is also a little bit older, and seems both physically and mentally mature to make the jump.

So all in all, if we could get a healthy Kuhnhackl, + Agostino, Hanowski and Archibald -- plus or minus Wilson and with a 1-year older & more advanced Uher & Megna -- I actually think WBS could have a really nice group of forwards next season. They could use another centre, however, and perhaps Sundqvist could be ready to fill that role, as he seems like a guy who would excell at the NA game. I just got excited.

I didn't think it was funny (or witty) at all. They can obviously go to college, but they can't play hockey there.

From what I've heard, they're terribad this year. I should be there on the 25th to cheer on Bakersfield.

Wheeling has actually been on quite a roll their last dozen games or so since they got their best player back from injury and acquired some other guys. Also helps them that Kileen is hurt, which is pretty sad to say.

As for McNeil, do believe he's been out with a concussion for quite a while. Not sure on Payerl's injury, though like McNeil, he's been out of action for a long stretch.

thanks for the info Sivek. i've been thinking for a while of latching onto McNeil as obscure prospect of choice, now that it looks like the pens are probably going to cut bait with Velischek.

With Bennett and Tangradi up at the NHL camp, the Baby Pens' offense kind of looks like what one could expect from Craig Adams and his 11 clones taking up all 12 forward roster spots.

Maybe a future call up but not to start the season. I don't even think he'll be a camp invite
