Too close to call is what I picked. I would have said Murray before. Now I'm not sure. I'm actually kind of leaning towards Dougie on this one. Murray plays too safe in my opinion. Aleast Dougie takes risks.

Players that play it safe and dont take risks aren't game-breakers.

I've seen that statement made a number of times, and I still don't buy it. What kinds of risks did Lidstrom take? What kinds of risks do Chara, or Weber take? Where are all these risks? Keep in mind we're talking about defensemen, not forwards.

I don't think of myself as one of the bigger Hamilton boosters out there, but that said, I'd still rather have him. Just because of pure upside. *IF* he can bring all the things to the NHL that his size and production suggest he might, then he could be a more "special" player IMHO than Murray. I like Murray. Nothing against him. Nothing wrong with safe and solid at all, he's everybody's sure bet. But I'll swing for the fences with Hamilton instead.

They all do take some risks. They're all just so good they rarely pay for it.
I dont see Lidstrom or Weber too often but Chara definitely takes (smart)risks.
