Germany - Kühnhackl
Switzerland - Hiller
France - Huet
Slovenia - Kopitar
Norway - Thoresen
Call me crazy but I think I'd replace Chelios with Modano.

Three Selke trophies and a Stanley Cup is an "afterthought"? +/- of 176 during career and 5 Olympics is an "afterthought"? Fine.

Besides, I think it's already been established that Selänne > Kurri. It's not a big margin, but Selänne has more goals, points and GP than Kurri, despite never playing for a team like 80s Oilers was.

Brett Hull was born in Belleville Ontario. His American mother meant he has dual citizenship and he chose to play for USA due to being butt hurt he wasn't asked to attend camp for team Canada. He later had the option of playing for Canada but stayed with the US.

Personally I don't think that qualifies him as best US player having been born in Canada. I've never seen Stan Mikita on any best Canadian lists.

His family lived in America, he was born while they were on vacation in Canada.

He moved to Canada at a young age, spent more of his childhood and most of his life in Canada before being drafted and was a product of the Canadian hockey system. All this on top of the fact that he was born in Canada, and I don't see how you can say he isn't Canadian.

Indeed, Sather also says "At the training camp I could see that he had a great ability to read the ice and he was the smartest player there other than Wayne Gretzky. he skated well: his intelligence on the ice stood out. he was a real prospect."

Also, Nolan is from Northern Ireland. He's British (aside from being Canadian, but by birth he is).
Hand never played a single NHL game. I don't understand how one quote from Sather suddenly makes him the best English player of all time. Looking at the leagues he played in, he was amongst the top of those league, but was never clear cut above the other players stats wise (I'm well aware stats don't tell the whole story but has anybody here seen this guy play?)...
