I wish. I read somewhere that the Nats have Laroche as their number one priority and its going to be really hard just to move Lind and Buck.

Hopefully it works. It'll be nice to see the Jays being a tough ticket again.
He's done all a GM can do. His job is to add talent and useful pieces. He's done that. Whether or not they succeed is up to the players themselves and manager.

And really the victory is that he's added the cash. Even if it doesn't work, he's signalled that the money will be spent if he thinks its a good investment. That in and of itself is a huge victory for the fans and for the team's future when coupled with the fact that Anthopoulos has built (and maintained even through this pending trade) an excellent farm system.

Lind has more value to us than he does in a trade. He's going to have a huge year. Mark my words.

Buck I would try to move just because I want to see if D'Arnaud can knock out Arencibia.

This feeling and excitement about the Jays is something I've never felt before in 13 years of being a fan. This is just amazing. I've had it with the Sens in the NHL but had gotten numb to the losing and mediocrity with the Jays.

This is the most fun I've had as a Jays fan since I started following in the Delgado, Green, Clemens/Wells days.

WOW

AA killing it this offseason!

Seems like he was waiting for the Sox and Yankee (lowering payroll) to start going downhill to make his big moves.

Cant wait for next season now!

I would be open to signing Napoli. Around 8-10 mill per for 2-3 years.

I don't see a huge uptick in fans during the weekday series against teams like Seattle, KC, Indians and those teams.

Where I see the Jays really making a move is once school is out and the big boys come to town that is where you should and I really hope 35K + a night.

As awesome as it would be to get Laroche, Washington shouldn't let him go. He would definitely cost too much, the guy has hit 25 HR and 100 RBI in two of his last 3 seasons with two different teams. He's hit at least 20 HR and 80 RBI in SIX other seasons. He's always been so underrated but that's going to change this off-season.

Unbelievable offseason (which may not be done)

Burkie should be taking notes on asset management from AA.

Saw someone over on the TSN your call comments mention this and thought it would be fun to throw out there.

AA packages Lind/JPA/Buehrle/boatload of prospects.......for......

Felix Hernandez

If in some parallel universe that somehow happened, give the Jays the world series right now.

We didn't need him as a full-time catcher because of Arencibia, and we still don't. But now that we know Lind isn't all he's cracked up to be (we should have known a while ago however), might as well get him to DH/1B with Edwin.

This is of course if we dump Buck and Lind.

Problem I see with it is that it does not help the Mariners. They want offence, and they're not really getting it in that package unless Gose is one of those prospects being shipped too.

Not to mention Zunino is their catcher of the future, Arencibia is redundant with them.

I'm a red Sox fan forced to live in NYS, I can hear the Yankees fans scream "Oh, what the ****!"

As a Red Sox fan I'm going; "Well, we will be in the basement for the next 5 years."

As a guy trying to take a step back. Jesus, you guys are set and you only have spent 120M on 19 guys. The Jays are just below the Rangers for 5th.

I'll be honest with you, I will laugh if they trade for Halladay for the last piece.

Why would you have Lind batting 5th? He shouldn't even be on this team. He is going to have a big year? We have been saying that for 2 years now. Time to cut bait. I am going to be angry if he is the starting 1st baseman or DH to open the season. I don't care how the roster looks around him, it makes me furious that the Jays keep giving him chances.

There is a reason why comments like that are over at TSN.

You can Include TDA, Syndergard, and maybe Sanchez to get Felix. As much as I love Felix I wouldn't do that deal.

IMO, let's save our prospects now, we can't completely deplete the cupboard, we need to hold onto these guys as a balance, and continue to develop and bring them up when contracts expire or we trade off players in a couple years,

I agree with one more pitcher, and we should go the trade route for a younger controllable pitcher that we can slot into the number 5. But we need to play our cards right and not jump the gun by overpaying for anything.
