I miss, for example, the anticipation before every Saturday night game. There is nothing quite like it when you see a GDT for a Saturday night game at 4+ pages already 7 hours before puck drop
- Getting drunk with the boys while watching HNIC and then going out to the bars after all pumped after a Leafs win
- Coach's Corner
- People on HFBoards ripping on the Leafs for no reason

Agreed. Besides football highlights and Jay and Dan's antics, Sportscentre just isn't the same. Even when they show KHL or CHL highlights, I don't know everyone playing like I did for the NHL.

Not having to go outside and interact with these things called 'people'. I now have no more excuses (i.e., to watch hockey) that is socially acceptable.
The only tragedy for me is a guy like Kessel losing a year of his prime. that really sucks. He and Gardiner are really the only two players that make you go wow on this team anyway.

There's lots of guys that make you go wow. Just most not for the right reason. See: Komisarek, Mike and Connolly, Tim.
I miss just having reliable hockey viewing of a team I care about. If I could watch the marlies on CBC/TSN/SN like every game, I wouldn't miss the NHL so much.
And everyone's summed it up nicely here, I miss the anticipation before the game, a great excuse to drink a few beers , something worth watching on TV, the ups and downs etc...
But mostly I miss not getting to experience what it's like to not miss Ron Wilson probably until next September...
