Haters waiting to see Karlsson to fail will be disappointed. This guy will get many more Norris nominations in his career.
Karlsson, Doughty, Pie, Letang

Karlsson shouldn't be included with these inferior defensemen.
None of them have a Norris Trophy.

all good d-men.
Right now, I think they are interchangeable other than letang, who I put last, and that's not a shot against him.
It sort of depends in what you are looking for in your d-man. There are teams where a peitrangelo would make more sense than a karlsson, for example, and vise versa.
My favourite team are the habs, and for them, I think its best to have peitrangelo out of that lot. Tough to go wrong, though.

Do we really need ANOTHER (virtually) identical thread? Anyway, KPLD
EDIT: Realistically, Piet and Letang are tied, so KLPD is fine too. I figure Letang will do poorly in this thread because of his sub-par playoffs. Recency bias.

Pietrangelo
Karlsson
Doughty
Letang
Piets and EK are a fair amount ahead of the other 2, Piets is much better all around then Karlsson, so I take him.

Pietrangelo
Letang
Doughty
I literally have seen Karlsson in action once, so I can't really make a ranking on him.

They're all good. Personal taste for Offensive defence-men though, Karlsson and Letang.

It's amazing how people's opinions of Doughty have fallen from where they were 1-2 years ago.

The few times I saw him against Edmonton, he never really stood out. Seemed like a solid #1, but didn't do anything to show me he was elite.
Counter to my viewings of Letang vs the Oilers, and he was the catalyst of their offense. He made things happen on every shift.

I really like all 4 of these guys, and would love one of them on Vancouver.
tough to rank, but I guess
Petriangelo
Doughty
Karlsson
Letang
And Letang is one of my very favourite dmen in the league. So that just speaks to what elite company he is in here. And he's basically side by side with Karlsson on this list, for me.
