Predicton: Canada wins 6-2, but Tobias Rieder opens the scoring.

I expect clear victory for Canada, they are going to overrun Germany, final score, 12:0, with RNH hat-trick.

Anyone want to explain whats going on with the Canadian flag in the OP? It seems to be having issue.
Oh and Canada 152:0 by the end of the 1st.

I expect Canada to win but something like 4-1. I have not been impressed with them so far although there are reasons of travel fatigue, unfamiliarity with one another etc. that come into play. I hate the starting times--so spoiled from previous years.....

Both flags are waving in the wind.

It's going to be a tough day for Germany. I hope Draisaitl, Kahun and Rieder provide some offense for Germany, those guys can definately score.
9-2, my prediction

I don't think it will be a massive steamroll - Germany likes to trap things up.
Drouin could be out for this one. Really, it's a blessing in disguise that we start things off against 2 weaker teams. The team has an easier time to cope with missing players. We have 2 difficult games at the end of the group stages, which will help us going forward into the medal rounds.
6-1 for Canada. I'll bet, regardless of the final score, Binner will start against the Slovaks.

Canada wins this one easily 11-1. Our defense is too big and too slow to keep up with teir forwards.
If our goalie stands on his head, it could be 8-1 instead.

That made me smile.
But it only works if Neuer is in goal.

Maybe the start time will be a factor for the Canadians. 5-2 Canada. It will be close until the 3rd period then Canada will wake up and pull away a bit. I don't think they will have trouble with the start time after the first game though.

Can anyone tell me what's up with the second line? I know very little about McNeill and Lipon, but it seems like more of a 3rd/4th line combination.

Technically that's not the 2nd line.
The xxx-Strome-Ritchie line is probably the second line, but I assume the OP put it at the bottom because of the uncertainty of the LWer due to Drouin's injury.

7 - 1 Canada.
Merry Christmas to all my fellow Canadian posters and Merry Christmas to all the members of the World Junior team who gave up their Christmas to represent their country.

One big hit from Shea Weber and Klose will be staying on the perimeter the rest of the game.
6-1 Canada

In America, will all the games be broadcast on NHL Network or NBC Sports Network? Or both?
