It's awesome and exciting to know that Bödker does well.
He really has character to be anything he want, not least a leader. He's one that I really really hope Coyotes keep and build as a backbone together with OEL and Yandle.
Denmark should be proud to have finally found such an amazing warrior of a hockey player

Yep we are very proud and very fortunate to finally get an elite goal scorer. We have a lot of very responsible 2-ways forwards, but nobody before Mikkel Bødker with such a goal scoring touch as he has at the moment. (Though Nicklas Jensen might get there as well).
The Lukko danes have the following +/- statistics:
Mikkel Bødker is +14
Frans Nielsen is +10
Philip Larsen is +10
Fourth best Lukko player has +4
So this trio both brings goals and excellent defence to the table.
So it has showed that Frans Nielsen and Mikkel Bødker really plays very well together, if anyone is serious to make a bid to make that happen in NHL!
Below the SEL and KHL. IMO after those two the hierarchy gets a lot more muddled but the drop off is pretty big after those two.
Swede Josef Boumedienne who have played in SM-Liiga many times said last year that top Elitserien teams couldn't match with top SM-Liiga teams. Just saying. Both are good leagues and now with the lockout SM-Liiga definately better.
Bødker is playing like a beast out there...good for Lukko and Coyotes!

..still Jokerit with lockout nhlrs cant beat SEL team Färjestad.
After 2 years of ET. 7 SEL teams have qualified and only 2 SM-Liiga teams. comments?

These again. You can't make a decisions based on couple/one game(s). Jokerit was injury filled also. They played in the european trophy final year before. Only way to judge the leagues would be to face each other (top teams) multiple times during playoffs form. And that will not happen. Plus both leagues are very different in game style. Win some lose some. Comparing them is difficult but we all know both are good leagues.

ET doesn't mean imho nothing. Best way to compare these leagues would be during playoffs/spring time when teams are in their best form. Most of ET games are played in beginning of season (when teams are just learning their game) and if you lose too many then you are basically out. In every ET game you don't even see the best lineups on the ice. ET is not very good indicator. In SM-Liiga you can see every team developing their game during the season and the best ones (and healthiest) usually succeeds in the end...in the spring.
Boumedienne have always said good about the SM-Liiga playoffs...maybe he compared the level in that world. Also a former swedish KHL/Elitserien defender who played in HIFK said SM-Liiga is better. But these are just individual opinions. No need to get offended. And like I said comparing is hard. I'd say pretty close 50-50 normally and SM-Liiga with a edge this season.

Nobody likes Josef, he's an slider all through. No suprise that Djurgården fired him, neither a surprise he claims such a thing either.
This lockout may turn out to be a great thing for Bødker. One step back and two forward. Can't wait to see if this will translate to the NHL.
As much as you can't guarantee when a player truly turns the corner, Boedker is set up very nicely to be the player who breaks out, whenever the NHL returns.
Honestly, I could see him wearing the 'A' at some point in the very near future - hard worker, young and good player, and his English is top-notch, all things that help a foreign player relate to the fans and market.
Assuming I'm reading it correctly on the SM-Liiga site, looks like Boeds got the lone goal in the Lukko's loss yesterday. Gives him 5 goals and 6 points in the last 3 games.

"Phoenix will win the stanley cup because Mikkel Boedker plays there" said Risto Dufva head coach of Lukko.
That's a nice sentiment, but not even Crosby or Ovechkin can will a team to a cup on their own. If Boedker suddenly becomes a 40 goal guy, that'd be amazing considering the scoring we lost when Whitney left. The Coyotes absolutely need a gamebreaking player in the worst way possible. Someone who can, on occasion, fly past even the best orchestrated defense and make a seemingly impossible shot. Meat and potatoes only gets you so far.
Hopefully he stays hot and never looks back.
Lockout is apparently over, so send him home please.
