Just re-read the assembly man's quote. Said he wants to rename the Devils via statewide vote. Just wait until that hit's 4Chan. Can't wait to support a team call the New Jersey Hitler Did Nothing Wrong.

And the Penguins? That's messed up too. Why name a team after a guy tried to kill Bettman, I mean Batman.
The fighting Sioux nickname was retired before this season They've been able to keep most of the logos in the arena but "home of the fighting Sioux" had to be taken off the outside of the building. So sad....

Going to be a huge punch in the gut when I go home in march to go to a weekend series and that's at center ice. So sad it had to come to that...

A lot a wasted marketing potential there.

The Leafs, however, are fairly accurately named.

They tend to look good but then fall off in the fall

Somebody help me please this is killing me. The organ song they play at Prudential Center after the opponent scores a goal. I know one's Iron Man, and the other is Eye Of The Tiger. What's that other one? They been playing it for years, and even played it in the old building. Parts of it sound like the I Love Lucy song to me, but that's definitely not it. If I need to I'll find a video of it, and post it.

They usually play those 3 or at least the first 3 goals against of the game. I can't tell what the third one is.

Not to bring up this dreadful pathetic game, but I found this with the song I'm talking about. What is this song after the Panthers goal on the organ? They've been playing it for years, and played it at the Meadowlands too. I can't figure out what it is, and it's killing me.

The very start of the song kinda reminds me of Rock lobster...but I highly doubt thats it

Edit: okay..i matched the songs up...unless there is a song that sounds just like rock lobster...it is infact rock lobster

Alright I hear that too. I said it sounds a little like I Love Lucy too, but it definitely isn't that either.

Also ROFL at that commentary. Ray Ferraro I think. ''This isn't the Martin Brodeur of 10 years ago. He's had to battle through with Pete Deboer this year having a short leash, and he takes him out, and uses Hedberg a lot'' Another dumbass member of the media who does not follow the Devils. Bet he still thinks we play the trap too. Marty was only pulled 3 times this year. 4 if you include the time he left injured. The last time it happened in the regular season Hedberg came in, and was just as brutal in Edmonton.

Actually Calgary not Edmonton.

I don't know, I've always been under the assumption that it was Rock Lobster - then again, usually when that's being played it's drowned out by the sounds of groans and cursing.

Alright thanks Scotty!

Yeah it is Rock Lobster. I had to go, and listen to it. It's almost always played after the third goal against at home, if there is 3 goals against. With Iron Man, and Eye Of The Tiger coming after the first two. They played it at the Meadowlands too. Sucks I had to dig up that awful game! Volchenkov with a brutal screen to Marty on that goal too.

A lot of superstitious tenants actually. Nobody wants to lease the 13th floor for their business. That's why they make the 13th floor M for mechanical or maintenance a lot of times.

My building is one of the 15% that does have a 13th floor.

I'm going to use that as the reasoning for the elevators being terrifyingly awful.

No kidding, I think the place where I get stuck in the elevator the most is around the 13th floor.

I always get stuck around the 5th. Hence the number in my nickname.

That`s pretty cool. I`m missing Sobotka, should`ve been mentioned at least, but I understand and like the reasoning anyway.

Good job on author`s part.

Also, add Hossa and Eriksson and you pretty much get the list of my favorite players. haha

Which also reminds me the great sin of not nominating Hossa for the Selke (finished 13th, guess where Callahan finished lol) aka why wingers are essentially eliminated from the competition due to the fact that they don`t go battle in the FO circle. I hate it. And I`m pro-center oriented.

if 13 is unlucky than so should the letter B be. Because a B looks like a scrunched up 13.

Whats your name? BOB? Get the hell away

Did you say you lived in Edgewater? I'm from Cliffside Park originally. My dad was from Edgewater though.

I love that clip so much! In fact I took the 8 second one where whoever recorded kept hitting repeat on BRUTAL CALL over, and over again, and recorded it on my phone. I sent it to my buddy who is a little more mature than me who wouldn't watch the clip if I emailed it to him.

It's about that time. One of those weird, totally coincidental relationships between proximity to UFA status and how much of a beloved household name a player becomes.

Yeah, I'm in Edgewater. The 13th floor is in my office building in Manhattan, though.
My place is dwarfed by all those fancy high rises on the river
