Why did Hanifin drop?

Hanifin at 6 is a bit of a surprise (to me at least), I thought he was kinda the unanimous #3..?

At the start of the year he was. Other players have been better. Isn't even the #1 D for sure with Werenski and Provorov very close to him.

Funny when Rantanen gets much if any recognizion in the HF, eventhough scouts have mentioned him being right there in the "2nd tier". Then you see him on these lists top5-10. Not very suprising considering the depth of the draft, the hype between McEichel and people mostly eyeing the American jr leagues. He has star potential, chip on the shoulder and is as legit as it gets.

Nice list Anthony.

I wouldn't mind hearing some justification on your 11-13 ranked guys. I think that's way too high for Bittner. Sprong is clearly rising.

What is the justification for Hanifin being No. 6?

While Hanifin is an amazing prospect and will still likely go third, I've heard rumblings from several WHL and NHL scouts that they wouldn't be too surprised if someone takes Provorov above him. He's been beyond amazing so far in the playoffs.
