McClellin was awful on that tackle attempt on final regulation drive by Seahawks
He was awful most of day ,, he made one good play today
Total waste of 1st round pick... Looking back on it passing up on Wright could be haunting as well
going into a report this past week, he is considered the 3rd best pass rusher this year of the players taken in the 1st round. Looks like 4 of 7 Pass Rushers are a waste of 1st round pick and busts... but don't forget goalies in hockey get 5 years until you can judge them

Also found it interesting BWC neglected to mention the 4 other Bears who missed the tackle on that play, several of them veterans.
Quality, not quality, it's subjective. The easiest way to say it is the Bears are 1-4 against teams over .500, or basically play-off teams. Doesn't exactly inspire a lot of confidence.

I knew I would see it and I was even more disgusted then I thought I would be.
This one just gets me. Where is your OJ jersey? Maybe in your closet next to your Rae Carruth jersey. Do you plan on getting the jersey of the next football player to murder his girldfriend/wife?
RIP Kasandra M. Perkins, I hope and pray for your family and mostly for your daughter who is now without parents. I hope and pray for Javon Belchers family as they go through a tough time.
As for Javon Belcher, I hope there is no peace where you rest.
End of rant, just amazed to see how stupid most people are. RIP you murder because you played football? So if Hitler had been great at a sport all would have been forgiven?

Agreed, but they missed their starting quarterback for 1.5 of those games.
Bears should finish at least 2-2. They have to beat the Pack to have a shot at winning the division though.
Curt Menefee on how they approached covering the tragedy:
Quote:
Menefee, in a phone interview, explained: "For us it was all about presenting the facts, although it's still unfolding. Where do you strike the balance? Do you paint (Belcher) as a sympathetic figure? Or, as someone who perpetrated a crime? That's where you at least try to strike the balance."
"someone who perpetrated a crime" ??? What? What is that even...I don't know, God help us all.
Speculation is Jake Long may have played his final down as a Dolphin yesterday, after sustaining a tricep injury. Would cost the Fins just north of 15M to tag him next year, which no one expects them to do. Not sure what he'd get on the free market, but I'd still be interested. Some people think he has been less effective due to nagging injuries, but I don't think anyone really knows for sure. Really curious to know what his next contract will be in the area of, especially if he did tear his triceps, like many fear. I have no idea...

One armed Jake Long is better than two armed J'Marcus Webb
Also sounds like Miami is just getting sick of him as well.
I think there are issues there. I definitely do not think we'd be getting the dominant Long we'd like to get. However, I am positive, however overpaid, he would still be a significant improvement to the Bears O-line and that's what it comes down to in the end. Kind of like when we signed Muhammad, we knew he wasn't as good but he still improved our receiving corps quite a bit even though he was very overpaid.

Wait, Webb has arms? Oh, that's why people have been so critical of him. I always through it was mean-spirited for people to be so critical of him, given the fact that he's a triple amputee and playing pretty darn well considering that handicap.
.... he is a triple amputee, right? I mean, that really is the only explanation I had for his play this past year.

I think he would be no worse then John Tait
Tait was solid LT in his time with Bears
So adding Long via FA would be comparable move to when Bears brought in Tait to solidify the T position. Originally T was to play RT for Bears but Qasim Mitchell sucked
Tait moved to LT and Bears brought in Fred Miller
Both were solid T's and gave Bears quality OL play during the mid 00's
At least Carimi is showing some potential at G .. Could be a longterm solution opposite Louis going forward
Long-Carimi-Garza-Louis-?
I really hope not. The Bears need Carimi to get it together and be the RT they thought he was when they drafted him. They need to stop this "Draft a Tackle who can't be an NFL Tackle so we will make him a Guard" BS. We need Carimi to be better than Chris Williams 2.0
