Scheifele vs. Strome vs. Zibanejad

If you are a general manager building a hockey team, which of these players would you take?

Scheifele, he is straight up destroying the OHL right now and I think he has more potential to become a #1 center than the other two but they'll all probs end up being 2nd liners.

Strome has a pretty sick name though, so I wouldn't be surprised if I took him for the name alone.

i think i take strome.

all three have their own inherent flaws though. I dont see any as legit 1st line stars in the league.

I went with Scheifele here, not because I think he's head and shoulders above the other guys but because I prefer his style of play to the others. He also seems like a safer bet to reach his potential than the others, imo.

Strome has the most potential, but I think his style wont translate well to the NHL

Schiefele I project to be a solid/good second line center who is good at all fascets of the game. I picked him, although he isn't a prospect you can build around IMO

I haven't seen enough of Zibanejad to judge well, but I do like his playing style, just less than Schiefele's

Scheifele or Strome. I'll go with Scheifele.

Scheifele, easily. To be honest, I don't have enough info on Zibanejad, don't see him play at all, so I could be missing on him. But I'm very confident on Scheifele over Strome, they are not particularly close at the moment... and that hurts me to say, because I took Strome over them in my FHL draft at the time. :'(

I wouldn't build a team around any of the three. But if if I had to choose, I'd go with Strome.

Just an FYI:

Scheifele: 22GP; 17-20-37 +13

Strome: 24GP; 15-28-43 +27

I see Scheifele as a safe bet to become a quality 2nd line center. IMO, I don't see his upside being much higher than that. Strome is definitely a riskier pick, but I think his upside is on a different level. I could see him becoming a PPG 2nd line center on the Isles. If they end up moving him to Tavares' RW, I think the sky is the limit as far as his offensive production is concerned.

People think Strome is small and doesn't play defense. He is 6'1" and somewhere around 180-190 pounds. He has a great work ethic so another year training with Tavares should get him to a comfortable 190-195. He backchecks hard and plays the PK while leading the OHL in scoring while boasting a terrific +/- on a weak Niagra team.

I would take Strome over Scheifele bythis much. Both will be tremendous. I think Zibanejad will be a solid pro also, just a little behind Strome and Scheifele.

I would take Strome:

Strome
Schiefele
Zibenjad

But it's close.

Highest upside: Strome
Big game scorer: Ziby
Best all-around game: Scheifele

I went with Strome, I am most enticed by his high-end skill.

They only have seven guys in double digits for points. Strome is putting the team on his back!

If, and its a big if for some of these guys but if they all hit their potential, I see zibanejad as becoming the best. Just to much going for him In terms of size, skill and speed
