Huge game for Chelsea and Juve. If Chelsea win they are through, if they draw they are in a pretty solid position to go through and if they lose they have to depend on Shakhtar to help them out. Not ideal.

I'm just looking for a solid all-round performance. The offense is lethargic and the defense is non existent. Now would be the perfect time where everything started clicking consistently. Until Mikel and out of form strikers are there, that's never going to happen.

Apparently Chelsea's gonna play Hazard as Central Forward

I'm not confident that's going to work. No aeriel threat and if they close down the supply from midfield to Hazard, he's going to be invisible.

This is where a player like Fellaini would do wonders. He's versatile so in a default role he can play DM like he does for the NT and he can push forward in an attacking mid or even striker role and wreck havok. He's an aeriel threat or can play with skilled attacking mids like he does for club and sometimes country.

This is also a clear message to Torres that he's playing like utter **** and 80% of the time that's the case. I know he's a top class striker but he's lost his mojo and everyone is running out of patience with him.

A couple of changes here and there and this team could dominate, but there are some weak links in some positions and it's hindering any progression towards a better brand of football. For the style management and fans want to see, you need an airtight backline. That's not the case especially with Luiz. He's a walking, talking liability. Mikel can't play flowing attacking football. He'll always kill a play by looking to pass it back to the defense. He can't boss the midfield and be an architect. Ramires is full of energy, but lacks composure and is erratic. Then there is no one in the striker's position to finish off all the promising plays. Most plays end with either Torres or Sturridge because they **** balls in a lone strikers position.

Anyways, rant over. Hoping for a good game with a nice result, but with their form in Europe this season...I'm worried.

Yup.

Spartka have been bad. Messi 6 away now.

I think that's Messi's first goal in Russian soil too.

Bad dive from Pedro for which he's rightly carded, then he puts in a perfectly weighted pass to Messi for the 3rd.

Yeah, a bit unlucky again not to score. Shot forced a tough save that rebounded to Messi though.

Apart from the dive Pedro's been quite good too. Nearly scored a really good goal when he pulled that ball down and volleyed it first time.

Solid performance from barca, Moscow had a couple of chances but barca dominated for the most part. I thought Iniesta and Messi were the best players. It looks like Messi is starting to heat up interns of taking control of the game not just scoring goals. I also thought Masch had his best game in awhile, that's encouraging as barca haven't been convincing defensively this year.
