Game With the Most/Least Replay Value?

If you could pick just one game that has the most replay value, and one game that has the least replay value, what would they be?

I think a lot of people may be inclined to say a sports game for most replay value, but you have to remember that new games come out for each franchise every year. In other words, you can't pick a franchise, you have to pick a specific game.

For least replay value, you have to have actually enjoyed the game to begin with.

Most replay value: Team Fortress Classic - 3,000+ hours and counting.

Least replay value: Hmmm... A game I actually enjoyed? Most shooters nowadays are just corridor shooters that all feel the same. I guess any of those. Something that I really enjoyed though, I guess To The Moon. You don't really have any choices to make and it's all about an amazing story line. Now that I know the whole story and experienced it, I don't see why I would want to ever replay it, as awesome as the story was, there really wasn't any gameplay.

Most replay value... tough to say... i'd just go with games over 100 hours, and I have a few of those:

-Counterstrike
-Halo 3
-Starcraft 1 and 2
-Warcraft 3
-TES: Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim
-Total War series... most of them
-Civ seires... most of them
-Terraria
-Magic The Gathering... any of them

and i'm back replaying Dark Souls... so i'd probably put that in there... also on Persona 4 and that's probably up there.

Least Replayability:

-Gotta go with Dear Esther. Basically walk around an island for 2 hours...

avoiding multiplier and sports games which will obviously lead the most playable

I'd say GTA SA, or your favorite final fantasy. I have definitely played FF7 more than anything else

Warcraft 3, GTA SA, and Mass Effect 2&3 (didn't play 1).

I'd say Bethesda games tend to have the most replay value. Fallout 3, Oblivion, and Skyrim are the three games that I've put the most time into. Bioware is up there, too. I've logged a ton of hours on the Mass Effect series and the Dragon Age series.

The two that stand out the most for me are GTA: San Andreas for most replay value and LA Noire for least. I loved LA Noire but I played through once and I have no desire to play it again. San Andreas is just amazing. Nearly 10 years after the release date I still play it.

Yeah, those visceral experience types of games should rank pretty high. I really enjoyed Journey, but I don't know why anyone would ever want to go back and play that again. It's all about the experience the first time you play it. To a lesser degree, games that heavily invest in the story and atmosphere like the Bioshock games and The Last of Us don't have great replay value, but at least they have fun gameplay mechanics you can go back to.

Most: Skyrim (though I believe I've spent more time playing Morrowind. The mods help)

Least: Dishonored. It wasn't a bad game, but not a lot of replay value

Most replay value are sports games and FPS

Least replay value are the "sandbox games". I beat the storyline, but I have no reason to play Sleeping Dogs again or GTA IV or SA. At least not for a few years.

I'd give Just Cause 2 a better 're-playability' ranking than Dear Esther any day...

good shout on LA Noire. Great game, but I don't know a single person who played through it more than once

Uh I don't find the content replayable at all, I tried OOC on the 3DS and was bored after a few minutes.

Least: 3rd person action games (IMO)/FPS (I'm not an online console guy)

Most: Strategy and RPG games

Purposely left out sports as thats kind of a cheat. Didn't touch genres I don't really play.

Specific games for me personally:
Most:
FO3/FO:NV - Beaten multiple times on long play throughs
GTA
Mass Effect (all through)
Total war games (Rome is the only computer game I still actively play really, plus it runs on my laptop).

I've done Dues Ex:HR twice but im not sure I'd count it (not a ton of total hours)

Least:
Assassins Creed
Infamous
Bioshock
Batman
Uncharted
Last of Us

I purposely only listed "Least" games that I truly enjoyed but wouldn't really replay.

Can you really consider a sports game to have the most replay value though? You get a year (maybe 2) out of it then you're done with it forever. Within that year, yes, they have the most replay value, but after that they don't have any.

Basicly, games that give you new experiences every time, or have amazing gameplay.

Fifa...
Good old Counter Strike...
Just Cause 2
Battlefield 3
Skyrim (Needs a lot of work tho.)
Minecraft
Midnight club 2
etc

Least
Final Fantasy XIII - I am not running straight forward for another 30 hours so I can listen to a boring story. Again.
+ More.

Heavy Rain is a movie basically and I see no reason to replay the entire game (you can go through and unlock all the scenes) but for some reason i have a few friends who played it 5 times...

Game I've most played: any civ game but I dont' know if you'd count that. I don't know if you'd count ftl either, i technically have 25 playthroughs

other than that I've started Zelda ocarina of time over again 5 or 6 times and wind waker 3 or 4 times. doesn't mean I beat them teh extra times though

Most replay... NHL games. MW2 as I can still play that with people I know.

Least that I enjoyed? The telltale walking dead game.

How many years do you get out of other games?

During that year, I play hundreds of hours on my sports games. Way more than any other game I have played.

I'd say least replay value would be Uncharted.
