Origins of the Original Six (New York)

They are known as the Original Six. The six oldest and most revered franchises in the NHL.
Today we continue with our look at the early years of the Original Six clubs with the second of three teams that joined the NHL during its great 1926 expansion; the New York Rangers. From the club's early success in the late 1920's to their last great peak of playoff success, before a their 54-year Stanley Cup drought, in 1940.
